Hotel in itself was in a good spot so we could walk to the various attractions that New York has to offer. The tourist tax, even though we were expecting it, added a further £200 to our overall stay, but they charge that so you can have WiFi and 2 bottles of water daily. The $100 room deposit wasn’t made clear at the start and when I questioned it I was informed it was ‘in case I broke something’. That particular receptionist could have been nicer. Great shower and the bed was comfy so not all bad. However I wouldn’t stay here again.

lovely hotel good value in winter no coffee inroom

It was a beautiful hotel, with fantastic community spaces. I had a very grouchy woman at the check in desk. And there are no coffee machines in the rooms unless you upgrade to a higher level room. I always find this distressing since I need coffee the minute I wake up before heading down to the cafe or lobby.

5 Star Hotel !!

This was hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Rooms are not super big but they are big enough. The staff were super friendly and efficient. The room was always serviced and looked great when we arrived. Gym was super tidy and has plenty to get really good workouts in. The shower also had the best water pressure! The only thing I didn't try was the hotel food but the hotel is surrounded by a lot of local spots for all different types of food. It is also conveniently located near the subway so getting around is so easy! Stay here!

We stayed at the Arlo midtown for 5 nights and had a great stay. My favourite so far in Manhattan. Wonderful staff and a great room. Cozy bed, lots of towels and a nice bathroom. The gym is fantastic, way better than any other I've seen in a hotel. Their attempts at being environmentally friendly were spot on with nice reusable bottles of lovely products in the bathroom and cans of water provided daily. The only thing missing was a kettle or coffee maker in the bedroom, which I'm sure could be provided within the environmentally thoughtful plan of the hotel. Also, the spray/smell that happens in the lobby and sitting area can get a bit stinky - it seems to release in the air periodically. Otherwise highly recommended and we will stay again.
