Hotel was a bit old and run down but clean enough and comfortable, location is fantastic. My only complaint is we didn’t realize there was a night club at the property and on Saturday night there was very loud music until 3am so bare this in mind if you’re going over a weekend

Decent but not Memorable

Lots of good food options in the adjoining restaurant and bar. The room was OK. Bathroom lighting was poor; few towels. It needs a refurbishment. Bed was a single, and it was OK. Check-in staff were friendly. Had onsite parking which is important, but suggest the back gate be used as the front is dangerously narrow.

The location is fantastic. Very close to all the bars and nightlife but not in the noise of it. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was huge, (could have included beans though).. Only downside was the shower curtain. It just stuck to you when using the shower making it uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was outstanding and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed Kilkenny and we will certainly stay at the Kilford Arms again! Everything was excellent!

This Hotel is older and it just has a wonderfully comfortable feel to it. It was beautiful, our room was spacious, we had a wonderful stay. Loved it!

Staff are very pleasant and helpful and the beds are comfy. Property is old and needs an upgrade. Rooms are not super clean and they are hot and stuffy. WiFi is terrible.

This hotel is in a great location in the center of the city. Very convenient to the Medieval Mile, pubs & restaurants. We appreciated the free parking. The hotel is older but was clean and safe.

Great location across the street from the beach/boardwalk. Breakfast was excellent and service staff very friendly. We were away from the bar, so the noise issue that some reviews reference was not an issue for us. As this area is popular with locals, parking can be an issue.

Old building so the room was dated but also very clean overall so no complaints there. That said, the mattress basically needs to be replaced. It completely caved in the middle and was hard to sleep in. Also, no AC is fine but having a fan to circulate the air would have been a nice addition. There’s a bar below so it was quite noisy late into the night but I brought ear plugs so it was fine. If you don’t though, you may be frustrated. All staff I interacted with were incredibly helpful and nice! Breakfast was quite good!

Room was over the Beer Garden and Bar/Night Club - on a warm evening windows open and people outside. Could here people and music loudly until gone 1.30am; then barman/cellerman started moving empty beer kegs outside just before 7am! Mentioned all this to Reception in morning and was told "what do you expect?, we are a city centre hotel and it's the weekend"! - certainly not that and for that price. Breakfast pretty ordinary, and few choices available.

Lovely, quirky hotel, built around remains of old church. Very friendly, helpful, staff throughout. Lovely food. Amazing cacophony of rooms, many bars, breakfast room, massive dance halls, night club, and many more.

Spacious room with comfortable bed. Paid for the buffet breakfast, lots of selection. Convenient location, about 5 min walk from bus station and to old town. There was a step inside my room right after opening door. Tripped over it once. Should put yellow masking tape on the carpet step.
