Terrible service from front desk staff. Room was in bad shape, water on floor from a leak, sheets were dirty, pull out bed was broken. Beach front ocean view room did not have a view it was upstairs and covered by trees. Unable to use pull out bed I requested to be moved to another room view didn’t matter any more just needed somewhere for my kids to sleep. I found several rooms online available from main site and Expedia but was told there wasn’t nothing available and couldn’t change rooms. All 4 of us had to sleep on one king bed for 4 nights. They also said they were giving everyone $50 food and beverage credit since Television service was not working at the resort. Upon check out on Saturday after reviewing my charges at the restaurant I asked about the credit. Person working the desk said they didn’t know anything about that and there were no notes on my account and she was not able to make any changes. I asked if I could speak with a manager. She said managers don’t work weekends. This makes no sense how could there not be a manager on site of a popular resort during a summer weekend. This was the worst service I’ve ever received at a resort.

The property and views are amazing! Highly recommend the nachomamma add bbq also the wings are great! Book the ocean view you won’t be disappointed but most rooms most likely have exceptional view as well

It is right on the beach with lots of oceanview rooms. It's on the rainforest side so beautiful mountains and nice breezes. In the offseason the food options on the property are limited, but adequate. It's right near an amazing RTJ designed golf course which is beautiful. It is dark at night on that side of the island, and I was not comfortable enough to drive at night, but there is plenty of daylight to explore, then unwind at the resort in the evening. I highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Pool was nice, food subpar in grill...we ate off property and not main restaurant. No cable in room due to location, we called to ask and they informed us then after we already unpacked. External patio doors safety was not secure very well and a long distance from security.

Not that it was any fault of the Resort, But my flight was delayed and I missed a night there. So I incurred the cost of the Resort as well and having to pop for a Hotel in Miami. Other than that the (1) night and my Sons Wedding were great.

Rental car is a must. The place is absolutley beautiful, the beach is right on a reef and you snorkle right on the beach. The pool cabanas is great with a bar right next to the pool. The food is horrible and wayyyyy over priced. Highly recommend finding local places to eat. Tvs do not work either. But overall its definitely a beautiful place and i would highly recommend! A must stay at least once.

What a beautiful resort. The beach, the pool and the views were all incredible. I enjoyed the beachfront room. The back porch doors completely open up and you can keep the shutters shut so you have privacy while still hearing the crashes of the waves. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I came to stay at the Carambola resort alone on a solo trip and I was so nervous anxious and scared because I don't travel much and that was the furthest i had been. However this resort exceeded expectations beyond measures!! When i first arrived i needed batteries for my camera bc 8 left them! I went to ask the 2 ladies in the sales office one named Mandy and the other is another M name very sweet ladies they checked if they had batteries but they did not so they called house keeping to bring me some! Already the tone of hospitality was set and it did not change throughout my duration. The resort staff , the beautiful ladies at the bar so sweet Tiny was my server she was very kind and even the cab drivers I had a cb driver named Justin and another with a C name both were so kind. Everyone that I encountered on the Island who were not tourist were so welcoming, warm and inviting. I loved this location because it is secluded from the busy busy large crowds. It was quiet, serene and relaxing exactly what I wanted to escape to the Island to be able to experience Island time ((: I enjoyed my stay here tremendously, im coming back with friends & family! Theres literally not one con, if you want to leave either tent a vehicle or use the cab service which is kind of pricey to Americans in the states but the Cruscians truly deserve they work hard for their money and it is not any cheaper for them than it is us. I loved this resort cant wait to visit agin!

View was great! Office staff a bit rude. Rooms were minimally cleaned. Sheets, towels and pillows all had stains including sofa cushions. For food to be very high priced it tasted out of a freezer. Check in is at 4 and we were not given a room until 6. We also arrived early around 9am and paid extra for early check in and did not get a room until about 6pm. Environment was nice as well as everyone else was great. Those are just some things that need improvement.

Money well spent!! The resort was beautiful!! Gorgeous beaches and grounds, with clean rooms. Very quiet and relaxing. I was unsure about staying here after reading several reviews, but decided to take a chance on keep the booking. We were well pleased with this resort, and every negative review we read was false. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone interested in visiting St. Croix.

The property was nice and the views spectacular, the room where comfortable. The service was not good. The front desk had no urgency for anything. We asked for extra blankets it took 3 days to finally get them. The lock on the room was not working properly and had to be literally bang with your fist before applying g the card key.

Day 1 Room was not ready for check in until 5pm Day 2 No room/maid service was provided The room windows do not close, so you are left with the interior shutters to give you a false sense of security. The place is in the moonies, in the middle of nowhere, at least a 40 minutes drive to any nice beach or restaurant. The staff service gets a zero! They are slow, do not smile, and look pissed off , all of the time. During my whole stay, I saw the same mop , broom, cleaning lady cart and left overs from someone else's room service , next to my suite door. The hotel restaurants sucks. There are flies flying around you and over the buffet table and is hot. I do not know why they did not turn on the ceiling fans. 3 sun umbrellas in the beach , for the whole hotel. There is no world or universe in which this is a 4 star hotel ,as advertised. I am giving 1 star reviews, because there is no lesser option.

There was NOTHING I liked about this property. Only two restaurants which were VERY expensive. Rooms were dirty, sand on the floor, never swept. No cable TV the entire week I was there. Very dark and secluded, away from EVERYTHING. Cell service was horrible. Mosquitos were horrible and on everything at the bar. Staff unfriendly and did not care about things not working at the facility. No microwaves in room, just fridge. Possible bed bugs, as I left the property with all kinds of bites. Broken light in the pool, which could cause electrical hazard. Not enough umbrellas at pool or beach area. Pavement unstable and coming apart at the pool area. This property is NOT up to Marriott standard and needs to be condemned and bull dozed down. I would not recommend anyone stay here. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!

I had the worst experience of my life at this place. I would never recommend it. The service is terrible. The staff have no idea what good guest service is. I even had to call the police to file a complaint because I feared for my safety after some pool bar staff were rude, disrespectful to me in front of other guests, and invited me to fight. All because of a pointless situation that happened with my daughter, and it was up to me as a mother to resolve it. No one wanted to help me; the staff covered for each other, were racist, and rude. Then they told me not to go to the pool to avoid situations when I was paying for my stay, and the ones they had to remove were the staff members. I'm still waiting for a response from management. Don't be fooled by the photos; you're in for a terrifying nightmare.
