This was our favorite hotel we stayed in! The staff was so kind and helpful, the rooms were decently sized and comfortable, and the onsen was beautiful. They are tattoo-friendly which was great for my partner and I to be able to enjoy the onsen culture. It was in a very convenient but quiet location, with plenty of shops nearby and great food options, and the hotel was so budget friendly for the experience you received. Absolutely stay here if you're in the area!

Another beautiful Mitsui Garden stay and property. Love the ambiance of Mitsui Garden properties, their onsens, and breakfast options. Service is always top notch. Location is great and close to shopping and all things downtown Kyoto but also away from it so you feel not in the middle of sometimes chaos.

Pretty much everything is spot on. This place makes you feel welcome. The daily breakfast is at the same level of a 5 star hotel. Everyone was really amazing. It was highly recommended to me by a Japanese friend and I wanted to have a more genuine Nihongo experience and the Mitsui did not disappoint. Just book your room.

The hotel was lovely, staff very welcoming at the reception and the room was of a good size, clean with everything we needed for our stay. The restaurant needs updating, it looks rather shabby. I would have liked a better choice of cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt at breakfast. The hotel was in a great location.

Loved the onsen. The facilities were clean, the smells were nice, the design of the courtyard is great. Breakfast is expensive and the location is a bit far from the station, but it’s great for everything else.
