Basement room that was dusty and stuffy as hadn’t been aired or vacuumed in a while.
Bedding had bad damp smell. Very thin flimsy curtains so the street lights shine in as you sleep. Awful experience and I had to cancel remainder of stay.

Liked: Room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We stayed here for one night to attend a concert. Personally, this isn’t a four star hotel for me. On arrival we were lucky enough to get parked in the drive, two spaces there and metered parking on the street outside. The front of the building looks unkempt and overgrown.
No check in, all details for your room etc sent to you before hand. Very easy instructions to follow and there is a reception downstairs although we did not have cause to visit.
Decor in shared spaces beautiful. Our room wasn’t as nice. Wallpaper pealing off walls, dust, wall plugs not completely secure. The room was dated and worn. Double doors in our room with were not secure, lock appeared to be from a flimsy bolt at the top of the door. If someone had given it a hard pull it would’ve easily opened, which is a safety issue. Bathroom was modern with good shower. Kettle and coffee machines with tea coffee etc available.
Overall the room was clean and served our purpose to sleep in before leaving early the next morning. I don’t feel this is a four star hotel and the photos on their website/apps definitely do not match the room we stayed in.
Butlers Townhouse worked out pretty good... less expensive than the other places in Dublin and close to my friends and Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 (including Aviva Stadium). They operate a little differently and don't have a typical Front Desk. Once you figure that out, it was easy to come and go. There is coffee in the room which is nice and TV. Very simple.

Disliked: Amenities
There are a large flight of stairs to get in , no lift inside , the reception is an office downstairs , no breakfast / food, Booked two rooms and ended up on different floors; Disappointing stay
I stayed here just for one night
I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Dublin
Comfortable bed
Tea and coffee machine in the room
The shower was excellent
I asked for some extra milk and was given loads
Very friendly staff
Dreadful.
Was given the keycode for a room someone was already staying. Embarrassment & Frustration for all involved.
When i Finally got my own room it was absolutely Freezing. Cold Air Conditioning had been left on & the room was ice cold. Temperature control did not work on it so it was impossible to heat the freezinv room. No portable heater in the room & no central heating. Eventually the lad on reception gave me an old electric heater which was useless.
Took me over an hour to sleeve due to the cold. No hot water in the sink either. Same socket for the lamp as the tv. Dirty old chair, dirty old carpet. Visible dirt on the walls. A Dreadful experience
