Our ground floor apartment is located in a quiet part of the popular Albir district of Alfaz del Pi and yet not too far from the village (1 km.) And the beach (1.4 km.) The property is part of a quiet complex 'La Loma'. It was built in 1977 and still has the typical Spanish atmosphere of yesteryear. The property was renovated in the spring of 2018. For example, a completely new kitchen has been installed, and there are 3 air conditioners / heaters installed in the living room and the 2 bedrooms. The property consists of 2 bedrooms: 1 large with a double bed and 1 small with a bunk bed, 1 bathroom with shower, and a living room with open kitchen. In the living room are two comfortable armchairs and a 2.5-seater sofa, a dining table with 4 chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner electric hob, combi microwave / oven, fridge-freezer combination, kettle, senseo coffee machine, toaster, plenty of kitchen utensils and a washing machine. There are two terraces, one at the front and one at the back. The front terrace has morning sun. Here is a round dining table with 4 comfortable seats. The back terrace has afternoon sun and there is a lounge set. The latter is accessible through the patio doors from the living room. There is wifi and smart TV with Dutch satellite TV. Everything is on the ground floor. No stairs to come in. The complex is closed off from the street with an electrically operated gate and has a large parking area and a communal swimming pool. Gardens around the apartments offer a lot of privacy and give the apartment a friendly appearance. From the terrace at the front and from the pool you look at the mountain called 'Sierra Helada' . This mountain has been declared national park 'La Sierra Helada': the largest and most special nature park of the Costa Blanca. Special, because it concerns both the land and water of the Mediterranean Sea and is the domain of many special marine animals and has a large diversity of flowering and special marine plants. A nice park for walking, cycling, or even diving. You can take beautiful walks to the top, to the lighthouse or across the ridge to the cross in Benidorm. The official starting point from which the walks start is 1.6 km. The view from the mountain is truly spectacular with steep cliffs on one side

above the Mediterranean Sea (in very clear weather Ibiza can be seen) and on the other side the view from Alicante to Calpe and the beautiful mountain ranges all around. The location is exactly between Benidorm (5.7 km.) With all the fun and amusement parks and the picturesque town of Altea (5.5 km), the pearl of the Costa Blanca.

Relaxing break spoiled by infestation

Great little apartment with good parking and lovely seating areas outdoors. Unfortunately there was an infestation of cockroaches while we were in residence and it was clear that insufficient pest control had been carried out with only small pest blocks present. In terms of facilities and cleanliness, there was a rather dirty shower curtain hung up on the cubicle. It honestly wasn't a decent size to have a curtain instead of a partial glass wall. The kitchen was well served with utensils for those wanting to cook at home, however we did not as the cockroach infestation was off-putting!
Stayed 6 nights in Mar 2025
