Close proximity and beautiful hotel

Beautiful resort. It’s a lot like the Grand Floridian, except more affordable! The lobby is stunning and be sure to grab a drink and enjoy the water view while listening to the piano playing in the afternoon. I was surprised the outdoor pools did not have water in them in March and when it was nearly 80 degrees. I wanted nothing more than to take an afternoon break and swim in the pool. It’s a super short walk to the park. Don’t bother with the bus. The walk from the bus drop off point is almost as long as walking straight from the hotel.

It feels like a 3 star hotel in North American. Nothing spectacular or exciting at all. Hotel is out-dated and feels dirty (it is clean but so much used/dark spots everywhere). We have been in 4 others hotel in this trip (Macau, Taiwan) and this is for sure the worse one; given it is the highest price we paid. I understand it is Disney but that’s about it.

Hotel had a fresh scent throughout lobby. All employees were excellent. Excellent transportation throughout facilities including a nearby rail station to take you to the city. If only there was more convenience stores it would be perfect. I think there used to be a 7-eleven in the area but it is hard to find.

This is a beautiful hotel with large, comfortable rooms and amazing dining options. They have a really nice Disney gift shop too. There is a bus that leaves every 10 minutes for Disney and it is a short 10 minute ride. The staff are super helpful and kind. It’s really worth staying at a Disney resort.

Ok but disappointing breakfast character experienc

Good hotel for Disney theme experience. Very grand in its nature, and nice views from balcony. However, we paid a lot for buffet breakfast where the Disney characters are meant to take photos. We did this for two days in a row and on both days only Mickey and Goofey made appearances. Very disappointing for our daughter who only wanted to come to Disneyland for the princesses, and frozen characters. I appreciate there are a lot of different characters but if you are paying $80 AUD for a OK buffet breakfast at the official Disneyland Hotel, you would expect more characters at this meet and greet breakfast, or so it’s promoted to be.

There is no grocery close by or sundries. Foods in the resort is expensive. Buffet breakfast was good. We had also in room dining. Staff really nice and helpful.
