We always stay at MGM during pool season. They have one of the best pool atmospheres on the strip. The renovations in the rooms were very nice and as always, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The new rooms are lacking proper lighting to get ready in and new the preinstalled vanity mirrors in bath are designed for someone maybe 5'10"-5'11" which becomes un-useful for someone 5'3", hence the concern with lighting outside restroom. I will just remember to bring a portable lighted mirror from now on. The new refrigerators are great, mini bar on one side and ample room on the other for your own stuff.

We loved the MGM Grand. Everyone was so nice and professional. From our check in attendant to every bartender and server. Exceptional! Our room was not only comfortable, but immaculate. And very quiet and tranquil after a very busy day with so much stimulation. The only complaint we had was the pool area. It was jam packed, with only one pool open. We could not get a seat. It seemed strange that while we paid 150$ resort fee, the "resort" part of the hotel was only 20% open. That was our only disappointment! Everything else was exceptional!

Don’t do the buffet. It’s not worth it. There are limited restaurant options during the day your best bet is off the strip. Our tv was broken, asked customer service to come out the first three days of trip and it was never fixed.
