I see how they could build such lavish accommodations. Everything costs 10x what you would pay in most civilized places. How do you justify $23.58 for a pre-packaged chicken salad sandwich? Thats an example. On check-in, the promo board boasts time savings by using a QR code for mobile check-in. After wasting 1 hour i bought a $300 upgrade but still was not checked in. Fortunately i only had 1/2 hour wait in line at the lobby. They charged my card for the upgraded room, (the penthouse suite), but the clerk said they gave it to another guest, and i “would see a refund on my card over the next few days”. Aint that something. The clerk was kind enough to offer a $75 food credit for my room. But when a bag of peanut m&ms cost $12 and a cup of coffee from the little machine costs, $16 dont forget the bottled water to make the coffee, $16…how far can you stretch $75? Hey but is not just MGM properties, it all resorts in tinseltown. I remember the old Vegas where they catered to your every need because they knew you were coming back time and time again. And you did. Those days and services are a thing of the past. And so is any inclination to visit Las Vegas in the future. Go figure. Save your money, got to Laughlin instead.
