The room itself was nice. It was the service that was seriously lacking, especially since it's advertised as a 5 star hotel. When we checked in, the bathtub was dirty and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. We called to have someone remedy these issues and no one came up. When we called again the front desk person was extremely rude and unhelpful and actually accused me of screaming in the background while my wife was speaking with her. I didn't even say a word!. It cost $40 per day to valet, but when we needed the car they were understaffed and we waited 30 minutes and the valet area for the car to be brought around. Lastly they charge $50 just for opening the refrigerator, even if you do not consume any of the contents. Again, room was fine, but service was terrible.

No hot water in the shower. I have complained to the front desk. Staff was terrible and they asked me to get shower from Gym. Then They said they will fix it magically by turning some knobs but nothing happened really!! Water was cold for both the days that I had stayed. Never going back to Mandalay Bay!!

The hotel is fine, located at the one end of the strip and is about 30 minutes work to the central strip. The foods are overpriced there. I know why Las Vegas is decaying. We came for good foods and entertainment, not gambling, and feel less likely to come to Las Vegas anymore: no good foods but pricy ones. Hotels are full of smokers and smell bad.
