Cocktail servers were rude during the three days, and the hotel's hidden resort fees are ridiculous. Other than that, the front desk staff were polite and the hotel and room were nice.

We did not get to stay at the actual Mandalay Bay like we were supposed to, but instead were placed at the W Hotel, attached to Mandalay Bay. Also we got in super late 1:00a.m. on Friday morning because of flight delays, so I wanted to call Mandalay Bay to ask them to hold our room, but tried every phone number listed, and no one would answer the phones anywhere on the property because they said on the recording it was after hours. I then tried to chat online stating my issue with needing to talk to anyone about holding our room, but finally gave up trying after an hour of calls, chats online, etc. and just had to hope our room was still available when we got there. I’ve never had the experience of a huge hotel not having someone available 24/7 available for customers…super frustrating! On a positive note, our room was quiet and bed comfortable, even though it wasn’t where I had booked reservations.

The. Check in staff were not very friendly or helpful. They tried to charge us for use of the minibar and billed us upon leaving. They try to charge you if you move or tough anything in the refrigerator. A $16 dollar can of soda, ridiculous! Everything we read about the excessive miscellaneous charges is correct.

We upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite and thought the service could have by a little better. Even though there typically isn’t housekeeping service for stays under three days unless requested, Denice said she would request it. None came. It was too late really to ask for it when we got back. Aside from that, the bathtub wasn’t clean as we saw particles floating in the water. Outside of that, the room was beautiful and everyone was very nice.

The casino and rooms are nice. I had 2 issues about the place. First, it’s incredibly noisy. 1of the 3dides faces the airport runways. It’s incredibly noisy and planes take off and land at all hours. Second, being at the end of the strip, it takes a lot of effort to get anywhere off property. The road separating it from the next hotel is wide and busy. The tram only takes you to Excalibur 2 hotels up. The monorail is across a huge road and hotel maze at MGM. Good kuck finding it. So anywhere you go you probably need an uber. Nothing is walkable.

Staff were excellent, friendly and courteous. Hotel was busy but much more chilled than those further up the strip. Eateries were good particularly for breakfasts and the Prohibition bar was a good spot with great cocktails. Casino floor was relatively chilled and quiet.
