What you should know...



Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-story parking garage at Lauterbrunnen train station, with carts for your luggage and elevators to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9:30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.



Just note that it does not have a washing machine or dryer. But there is a self-service laundromat in the village about 280 meters (3 minutes walk) if required.
