The hotel is well situated near the shopping mall and a walking distance from the Grand Place.

A most enjoyable short stay.

Our standard room was very spacious as was the en suite. Most impressive was however how friendly and helpful all the staff were. We needed assistance with restaurant bookings, directions etc and when my wife was briefly unwell they could not have been more helpful. Breakfast has an impressive selection but a little overpriced. The location is excellent for the Eurostar station and the old town.

Perfect hotel for Braderie weekend break

Great hotel close to the station and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Lille. The reception staff were very helpful., recommending restaurants, sorting taxis etc. Modern bedrooms with great wetrooms/bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Great weekend

The Hotle was great, easy to find in the centre of Lille, it had no swimming pool and for a 5star hotel that's a bit strange,but the spa was very good consists of a steam Room,sauna,2 massage rooms, showers. Food could not fault, staff very helpful, good secure underground parking, plenty of spaces, CCTV, bedrooms very good,spacious, also bathroom came with a huge bath and shower above, that was a suprise as was told it was one or the other not both, would highly recomend this Hotel and would stay again.

Absolute perfection

This hotel is the nicest, most luxurious place I have stayed at in years. It's faultless. Staff are very polite & will do anything for you, the rooms (we had a deluxe suite) were simply beautiful, modern & clean with great views over Lille. Food fantastic & the entertainment (casino & theatre) were very well presented. Great location. Can't wait to return

HOTEL BARRIERE EXPERIENCE

A very enjoyable weekend however it was spoilt by no hot water for two of the three days that we stayed, we did receive concessionary breakfasts for 2 days unfortunately on both occasions the so called hot food was cold and inedible the tea and coffee was also cold. When staff were told they put their hands onto the " food warmers " to test the heat. For a five star hotel it is not five star food, very poor quality and expensive, the bins must be overflowing with waste DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BY EATING THERE

enjoyable Lille

very good hotel booked at a discount price, would have been expensive at full rate, could not fault anything apart from breakfast at 19 euros per person for a cold buffet, went to local patisseries for pastry and coffee at 10 euros for two.

Hotel Barriere

Was disappointed as have stayed in a lot nicer thought hotel was very expensive for what it was and for drinks and parking. Poor location out of town and outlook is onto a massive multi storey high rise building. I assume it is getting the rating due to casino and Bars upstairs however found these quite tacky.
