Favourite place we stayed all trip! Spacious and clean, in the heart of Historical area of Sintra. Felt like a local and would absolutely stay here again! Great communication and very well kept space woth awesome AC. Close to everywhere and everything you need to see. Make sure to pick their spot to park as that was the most difficult part of the stay. But the effort was worth the reward!

Comfortable Casa - without a Car

The location of this property was a pro - for closeness to the centre of the historical area. A nice 2-5 min walk to all the local shops & restaurants (our favourite was Becco da Villa) and only a 10-15min walk to Quinta da Regaleria. It also provided picturesque views of the surrounding hills - see pictures. But definitely a con for parking - which is street parking only ~700m away. There is an option to get a code to enter the city to drop of your suitcases - saying the route is convoluted is an understatement. We tried to use Uber & Bolt - from the parking area to our room - with no luck. So we had to drag our suitcases for the ~700m over steep, cobbled streets. The Casa is very spacious - the bed was massive & comfortable. Everything else was clean and in good working condition - with the exception of the dated “a/c” unit. Even running on high - with the shutters closed - our room never cooled enough in our opinion. Overall we enjoyed our stay - minus the parking.

Mediocre stay in a lovely location

While the historic downtown of Sintra is beautiful, this stay left a bit to be desired. The listing advertises parking as included, but what that actually means is that public parking is available a 20 minute walk away. In the apartment, both bathrooms toilets had broken flush buttons that worked only intermittently and on the last night of our stay, the air conditioning was not functioning normally. The host company could not be reached by telephone and has been unresponsive to my last email message.

This is really a gem hidden in the center of Sintra. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff is available and very responsive. Everything you need dinning wise is at a walkable distance. Because it is in a historic area access by car or door Uber service is difficult without a QR code. Other than this, this is an amazing property and the rooms are just as shown on the booking sites.

The location was perfect for walking distance to everything we were looking for. Parking and driving was a bit challenging but worth it.

The town is very old with narrow streets and is restricted to residents or people renting there. You are given a code to allow your car in, but for some reason, you can use it only once. We missed a turn causing us to leave the restricted area, then couldn't get back in. We had to call for help. They also require you to use WhatsApp which we weren't used to. On the last day we were to check out, we left the apartment to check on something and their code box locked us out. They had set our departure time for 1 AM instead of 11 AM. So, we had to call again to get back into the apartment. It was 9 AM and no one answered the phone. They need to come up with a better system.

Unusual but superb place to stay - just slightly off the beaten track - but extremely close to the tourist Mecca that is the Historic center of Sintra. We had a minor glitch on the automatic check-in (accessing the needed codes) - but a phone call to the provided number saw it resolved very quickly and efficiently. We were very impressed.

The location is very good. It’s close to Vila Sassetti, from where you could walk up to Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Fabrica da Nata has best tarts I have ever had in Portugal. The casa/hotel is equipped with all essential items. Check-in is automatous and was very easy for me. Would definitely stay again!
