FOH-staff were amazing, great price for the services provided
Having snacks and coffee/tea complimentary all day beyond amazing. Great water from the tap (free); each floor had a small kitchen (handy); freeze your bottles in their fridge.
I had lousy sleeps...airplanes, late-night loud guests and then at 2am someone in the kitchen working on breakfast fired up his radio??? The building's acoustics very cave-like...everything echos.
Recommend...certainly; easy from the airport, train/bus station METROS with it stopping right in front of the hotel.
Have to say, when I needed help and someone would help; they printed out maps; one woman in a closed ticket office in the metro came out and helped me buy a ticket from their machine.
Lisbon has lots of automation; be patient. Gotta think it through.
Breakfast amazing. Tge shared bathroom is always pretty available and super clean. It does not have an air conditioner but the fans helped since the heat wave had passed when I was there. I would stay again.
We had a really nice stay here. Amazing neighborhood, staff were incredible, and the hotel had a lovely charm. Breakfast was also fantastic. It was a super heat wave when we visited, and with no air conditioning, the staff were accommodating to source an additional fan for our child to ensure they were comfortable. Highly recommend this, and we’ll definitely be back.
I liked staying somewhere that was an apartment block in a building with character and charm. Close to some great galleries and parks with an interesting walk into Baixa
Had a lovely time at the quaint Chalet D Ávila. The staff was super kind and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous, including fresh Pasteis de nata every morning. The location is a bit removed from the touristy parts of Lisbon, but the bus and metro (located right outside the door) make it very easy to access. We found earplugs helpful as there was quite a bit of noise outside our room.
Had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and the people were very pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
One night solo stay
Very close to metro stop and some restaurants.
Clean-small single rooms with no view and shared bathroom for 10 people kept nice a clean though. You have use of a kitchen and fridge and lounge area With TV.
Staff are very helpful .
Room picture on their add is nothing like the single room I was in .
Good for a short stay to explore Lisbon .
Breakfast is ok too .and there is tea coffee juice and snacks available 24hours .
Can be a but noisy at nice with the door bell .
But a good stay over all.
This guest house is greatly located close to key Lisboa places to see as well as convenient grocery and regular shopping stores, also great restaurants nearby. I actually missed reading from the description that the bathrooms are shared with all the people from your floor. Additionally, there is no AC at all. This is something common in Lisboa because its usually not needed but you will suffocate at night during summer. The guys from the reception were amazing, always helpful. The breakfast is very simple: bread and coffee, along with some light options for protein such as ham and cheese slices, I was expecting something a bit more elaborated based on reviews and the money I paid.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Chalet D’avila guest house. I was unsure about the shared bathroom but it was cleaned multiple times during the day and always felt/looked clean. The service was excellent and there was always someone available for recommendations. The free breakfast was delicious and there were various options. The location is near perfect since there is a metro station a cross the street. As our room was next to the bathroom, it was noisy in the morning when it got busy, but this is well advertised and overall wasn’t an issue. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing find, right next to the metro station. Eric at check in was wonderful. Room was on the 3rd floor, had 2 balconies and so light & airy. Would recommend 100 percent. Thanks
