Chiado is the trendiest neighborhood in Lisbon. Design and luxury products stores, century-old theaters, churches, buildings of architectural value, legendary cafes, century-old bookstores. XVIII, museums ... all in one place. And the epitome of Chiado is Garrett street, where the Apartment is located. In the same apartment building, on the ground floor, is the Bertrand bookstore, founded in 1732 and considered the oldest bookstore in the Guinness Book. Across the street, Café A Brasileira, more than 100 years old, was once a meeting place for writers, artists and journalists. The writer Fernando Pessoa is immortalized in a bronze sculpture on the outside terrace.
The nightlife is 4 blocks away, the so-called Bairro Alto, and is an ideal distance to enjoy the nightlife with a walking tour, while ensuring a quiet night's sleep.
The Chiado area invites you to stroll on foot, to discover all it has to offer, through streets and alleys. Contiguous to Chiado is Baixa Pombalina, the historical area of the city with all its many monuments, churches, statues, museums and a whole world of history and stories.
A few meters from the apartment you will find the Chiado Metro Station.
The Cais do Sodré Train Station, next to the Tagus River, is accessible by Metro or a good walk. There are regular trains between the Lisbon - Cascais line, on a pleasant journey and almost always along the Tejo and Mar River, lasting approximately 30 minutes. From Cascais, there are regular buses to Sintra - World Heritage of Unesco - passing by the Cape of Rock - Westernmost point in Europe.

FABULOUS LOCATION

For everything you could possible need: dining, cafes, market, transportation, entertainment- yet the unit has good double pained glass balcony doors so you can also have good solid sleep. Nicely appointed apt, super easy check-in. Would stay again!

Great little place

We had a nice stay in Chiado. The place is small but was perfect for the two of us. The place was centrally located and we could walk to just about everything. If you are cooking there were enough pots and pans, but you will have to bring your own spices since all they had was salt and some olive oil. The bathroom was nice and big, but the shower curtain could use a good cleaning. There was construction work going on next door but the noise didn’t bother us. We would definitely stay here again.

If you are not aware of that Lisbon street, you will be once you get there. It is perfectly centrally located and is the nicest street in the city, and oh my there are many incredible streets to choose from. The apartment has floor to ceiling doors that you can fling open overlooking the street - you feel as if you are in a movie, again a feeling you will often have while in Lisbon. The apartment itself is impeccable, with good ac, a nice bathroom and shower and a comfy living area. The hosts were very kind and attentive, the only issue being you have to arrange a meeting in order to get in the first day. A beautiful, beautiful place and an amazing city to visit.

Fantastic property in perfect location

Wonderful vacation apartment

Great location to explore Lisbon!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in November. Everything, from airport pick up, check in/ out, location, cleanliness, communication was amazing. Can't go wrong with this location to explore Lisbon. Close to metro, train, and right in the heart of the Chiado area. Would definitely recommend!

Deserves more than 5 stars

This apartment in Lisbon is the perfect place to stay for location and comfort. It is in a beautiful old building but the inside has been totally remodeled with all the comforts and style that one could ask for. Open the shutters to see what is happening on the street and then shut the shutters for a very quiet evening of rest. Jose, who will meet and greet you, will give you all the info that you will need to make your stay enjoyable. We travel a lot and this apartment has been one of our favorites. We would stay there again and even change our schedule of travel so we could. Like the title states, it deserves more than 5 stars. Karen and Bob from Colorado!

Great stay in Lisboa!!

Wonderful property... perfect for two. Very centrally located in Chiado... easy to walk throughout Lisbon from this homebase. Bustling area, however the apartment was very quiet at night. Would recommend to anyone thinking of a central apartment in Lisbon

Superb apartment rental in the heart of downtown Lisbon!!

This apartment in Lisbon is in the perfect location in the heart of the city. It’s close to everything and minutes away from the Metro. Jose met us at the airport and gave us some tips about what to see and do in Lisbon. Beautiful downtown area!! Stunning harbour, great restaurants; we walked everywhere!! Would highly recommend this apartment rental. I would rent it again for sure!!!!

Loving Lisbon!

The best location in the best city! The apartment was without a doubt the best choice we made! It was perfect, clean, adequately furnished, and bright and cheery. Loved everything about it and will definitely be back! Super communication with property management. Jose picked us up at airport and checked us in. He gave us a mini tour on our way. He was very nice and informative. Overall, great experience and highly recommend.

This apartment was perfection and the accommodations were matched by the service provided by Jose. A wonderful location—virtually everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped—with printed instructions/information. We stayed here two different times during our Portugal travels. Our week in Lisbon

We very much enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is extremely well located with numerous great restaurants, bakeries, and stores nearby in addition to the metro stop, which is less than a block away. The area is lively during the day but the apartment is well insulated from the street noise. A/C works well. Jose picked us up at the airport and delivered us back again with no problems. He also gave us an orientation to the area, including his recommendations. In short, it was a perfect home base to explore Lisbon.

5 stars all the way around!!

Love this spot!! Sparkling clean, amazing “in the heart of Lisbon” location, easy check in and out, and funky, yet functional decor. Did I mention the bed was incredibly comfortable?! One other important thing to note is that although the location is on a very busy street, you would never know it when inside!! Sound proof! Wouldn’t recommend a vehicle, as parking is extremely expensive.

No Better Location!

We were so pleased with the location, everything was as advertised. Especially nice to take advantage of the services of Jose, who escorted us to and from the airport, helped with some very heavy luggage, and assisted in making every move seamless. Very clean property, so happy we booked this place.

Pleasant and conveniently located apartment

The apartment is a penthouse, one flight up from the top of the elevator. It is well-equipped, with a small patio view a view over the river toward the ocean. It is a short walk to the river front, the number 1 tram, and (uphill) to the center of the city. There are some good restaurants nearby, including one with fado every night at 8:30.
