Great place to stay overnight in Sintra, close to the historic centre. I had some reservations going in because everything was automated on their end. There was no person on site. I had tried to communicate with them, but got no response. So I was feeling stressed about whether everything would work out as promised. When I pre-registered it also appeared as if the hotel was going to double charge me and I ended up having to get in touch with Expedia, but in the end, the billing issue was fine. However, everything went smoothly. We had an access code delivered an hour before check-in for the front door and another code to a small safe where we got our key to the room. The room itself was large and modern and clean, and definitely met our needs. Unfortunately at 2 AM two women in another room got into a massive fight and ended up having the police called in. Though not the hotel’s fault perhaps if they had a staff person there it could have been resolved. I highly recommend that the hotel change their administrative procedure and have a person available on site.

A lovely and comfortable stay in the heart of Sintra. Self check-in was smooth and everything was easy to access, making arrival stress-free. We stayed on the top floor, a climb well worth it for the charming balcony and beautiful view of the Moorish Castle. The room was clean, tidy, and thoughtfully presented, offering a quiet space to unwind after exploring. Its location is excellent, just a short walk from the National Palace and surrounded by great cafés and restaurants. A warm and welcoming guesthouse that offers great value and a peaceful base in one of Portugal’s most enchanting towns.

Properly is outdated, old, smells bad. The bathroom stunk so bad the toilet seat was broken, the toilet paper holder was missing the shower curtain on the bottom was black very dirty. The ceiling in room 9 is so low my family kept bumping their heads. I would not recommend, pictures are deceiving looks nothing like it in person. The only thing that’s great is the location.

Unable to get WiFi , tried to reach host and they just informed us wouldn’t be availible till the next day. Very remote area and WiFi is a must . Amenities very old, bedding very dirty

Disappointed

I travel a lot and I love old accommodations, but this really felt like false advertising. The photos online did not give an accurate depiction of the hotel. I stayed in room 6 which featured a beautiful canopy bed that I thought my daughter would love. There was no canopy, just bed posts. Beware that there is absolutely no staff on site. The entrance is a dingy dark living room space with no one to assist. The stairways are steep and the doorways are extremely narrow. Very small bathroom with no counter space and a hand-held shower head only. No refrigerator. Please see my photos and decide for yourself. There are many other lovely places to stay in Sintra.

Clean! We had the attic bedroom, which was spacious, very clean, and made for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was tiny and barely had space for one person, but I expected that, as this is an old building with character. It’s a lovely, traditional house with local charm, right in the heart of Sintra, which made the experience feel especially authentic.There was no staff on-site, and when we arrived, the place looked a bit abandoned, giving it an empty and quiet feel—we even wondered if anyone else was staying there. That said, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Amazing!

LuXa Charm house is absolutely excellent value. Big rooms with en-suites, totally capturing Sintra’s style. Our room had window views to the moorish castle. The only issue is ordering Bolt Taxis or Ubers to the property, at peak times the taxi will not be allowed by the local authorities to stop outside the accommodation, so you will likely have to walk into town for that. Not a big issue at all.

A well located but somewhat old and rundown hotel that has a remote virtual check in process with no actual staff at property. It is really only a bed to sleep in and a bathroom with no kitchen or refrigeration facilities at all. Rooms are hot with not even a fan. Good luck if issues arise as you will be dealing with someone remotely via text exchanges. Would not utilise this property again.

I hesitate to recommend this place. There are no amenities at all. Nothing in the kitchen not even a kettle or fridge. The entrance has a coded lock which does not always work I rescued other guests as I was leaving and had to be rescued myself.Access was also difficult because the managing agent had failed to send the paperwork.Eventually sorted by phoning them but it was a stressful process

Se escucha Adsolutamente todo, habitaciones, conversaciones, la calle, las puertas. Está muy mal conservado y descuidado, el mobiliario está destrozado, los tejidos están añejos y desgastados. El baño no tenía ni azulejos, la cortina llena de moho, polvo en las lámparas y no voy a seguir porque no acabo. Encima me tocó unas niñatas en la habitación de arriba que vino hasta la GNR porque no podíamos dormir del escándalo, golpes y gritos. Así desde la una de la madrugada hasta las tres. Vamos…para repetir

The check in wasn't easy. No one was there, and everything had to be arranged by phone. We were told we still had to pay tourist tax and had to send a copy of our ID cards. Otherwise, we wouldn't receive the code for the room we'd already paid for. We hadn't received an email about this, and it was completely new to us. A very unpleasant start. We ended up paying €4 tourist tax and sending a photo of our ID cards by WhatsApp. Then we received the code of the room, again without any explanation. It turned out you had to get the keys from a safe in the living room. The room was okay. Lovely big bed. Relatively quiet. However, the furniture were very old, with broken parts here and there. Bathing was impossible, as the water stop wasn't there. Showering was possible, but the shower curtain was far too small for the tub. The beds were clean, but the furniture was very dusty, and there was mold on the walls and ceiling. We slept well, as it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable, but we wouldn't go back to this place.
