1. The initial communication was done through email, the initial instructions for the checkin was very confusing, it mentioned "digital key", which never worked and conflicted with the instructions we got on the day of our arrival, which used physical key that we had to figure out how to follow the instructions to get out of a lockbox. 2. The heating in the apartment never worked. This will be a problem for guests staying in winter months. We were lucky to stay there during early October, when the weather was still mild. 3. The drainage of the shower area was very slow and dirty water accumulating while we showered. We sent email to the staff, which did come but never fixed the issue. 4. We ran out of toilet tissue on the first night and we were told to buy them because it is self served apartment. 5. There is no staff on site and the only communication is through email, it is very frustrating that we did not have any real person to talk to about any of the above issues. 6. In general, the staff responded to email timely, but a few occasions they did not respond after 8 hours untill I asked again. Good part: very spacious, overall very clean, fully equipped kitchen great for cooking. Robes for shower. I would not recommend this place if you do not want extra stress (lack of onsite staff, confusing instructions, no heating).

Terrible spare bed

Clean place but neighbors below were so loud between 1-2am on a Saturday night it woke us several times with slamming doors and loud talking. The spare bed to sleep on is the worst bed I have ever slept on. It wasn’t a sofa bed as advertised but a rollaway mattress on springs that was so soft and saggy it provided zero support and felt like I was sleeping in a hole or hammock. Only 1 fan provided despite it being hot and we booked for 3 occupants. The drain in the shower fills up so quickly I thought we were going to flood the bathroom with only one short shower.

Difficult to know what you’ll get

The Avanti Apartments are a group of accommodations that are located near each other; Each one is different. I stayed in unit B in property 16. I found out which unit I would be about two hours before check in time. There is a lot to like… luxury touches like monogrammed towels, plush robes, and high-quality soaps. The fit and finish on the apartment were great, especially the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable… but there were a few things that will lead me to look elsewhere the next time I make my way to London. The pile of mail at the door as soon as you enter the building made it difficult to get a suitcase in the street-level door and up the narrow staircase. The beautiful bathroom had a strong smell of sulfur from the shower drain - closing the door made the apt smell better, but left you with a difficult room for a shower, and the bedroom is located on the street side of the building instead of the quieter back part of the apartment. This small street in front of the building was noisy late at night and early in the morning. The closed windows block much of the noise, but leave the room warm and stuffy. Unfortunately, I could (loudly) hear my relatively quiet upstairs neighbors even as they talked at normal levels and walked around above me. The listing is certainly priced to take these short comings into account - next time I’ll remind myself that London is expensive and pay a bit more for different accommodations.

Disgusting entrance but clean room

The entrance to the property is disgusting, crooked stairs going up to the room and the carpet looks like it’s never been hoovered! The apartment room itself was clean and spacious. Although in the morning some kid of dryer was on downstairs and was shaking the whole kitchen!!

The property was acceptable but had a couple of issues. Firstly, the bathroom sink did not drain properly. Secondly, there was a heat wave in London and the apartment had no ventilation and we had to request a fan (which came the next day). Thirdly, Avari advise the property can sleep four people. Please note the sofa bed is small and would only be suitable for two children rather than two adults. The apartment had a washing machine but had no hanging rack to dry the clothes. Finally Avari only provided a limited supply of toilet paper and we felt that sufficient should be provided for our stay.

The property management communication has been minimal. The key access issue that is reported in several other property reviews was the issue. Half of our phones could sync with the Bluetooth app and the other half could not after numerous attempts. I requested a late checkout and their system makes you pay the fee prior to having the request granted. I paid the fee and then management provided a statement that they were having issues with key access for late checkouts. So, that left the time from 11 to 1 questionable if I would have access to the property. I declined immediately and prior to the normal check out time that due to the access situation, I would not need the late check out option. I requested a refund and have emailed them seven times and I have not yet received the funds. Great location! However, lack of communication and refund is not appreciated.

Great space, download digital key before travel

Excellent accommodations in an ideal location in London. The rooms are spacious and clean, appliances in perfect working order. We did struggle with the digital key, registration required SMS text messaging, not just WiFi, so beware if traveling internationally. Also our key expired unexpectedly the second day of our stay without warning. The second bedroom in our apartment was locked for some unknown reason when we arrived and required digital key to open. Altogether minor inconveniences and easily remedied by a very responsive Avari reservation service via WhatsApp. We would stay here again.

Apartments were good however our apartment was on the top floor we had to climb a lot of stairs..but once inside apartment was good nicely done clean and comfortable.we felt the hallway and stair need a major update ..would not like to have to carry heavy suitcase up these stairs ..would stay again but would have to be on ground floor

A bit hard to find. Inside, the apartment itself was lovely. Comfortable and spacious. The location / street outside was a bit noisy, being quite close to a pub, with people drinking outside on the street on the evening that I was there.

I think these people may be a scam. I never received access info and I tried calling at least a half dozen times and the phone just rang and rang without voicemail picking up. emails to them were not answered and their website was suspiciously “down”.
