We had a lovely stay at the property, using it as a base for the Harry Potter tour, but feel some changes are still needed to justify the “Luxury” tag. The main bedroom is spacious with a large adjustable bed, comfortable, but bedside tables would help. Of the other two rooms, one has a 4’6” bed (we feel 5’ is a minimum for comfort), while the last has a 4’ bed, unsuitable for two, questioning the claim the house suits 6. Two zip-link beds would make it flexible and ideal for a family of 4 plus grandparents. The dining table is a small round one with only 4 chairs, and there wasn’t enough cutlery or crockery, so we were constantly washing up. A luxury property should have a dishwasher. The kitchen had plenty of gadgets – coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, American fridge/freezer with ice and water – but lacked some basics. The pool/table tennis table was a hit, and the mini bar was a nice touch with chilled beer ready. Sensor lights in the hall and bathroom were annoying at night, and some sitting room lights on timers came on when no one was home, leaving the house exposed. The living room is comfy but short on seating for six. TVs are modern and large but only work via apps. The hot tub was lovely, the garden spacious with swings and slides (though the corkscrew slide needs TLC), and air conditioning was excellent. Garden furniture on the patio would be a big plus. Overall, it’s roomy, quirky, and comfortable for 4, but tweaks are needed to make it truly luxurious for 6.
