The hotels modern refurbishment is very impressive. What was disappointing for us was, despite booking one of the dearer superior rooms, the room was in the basement with no natural light. I feel misled as there was no mention of this in any description of the rooms I read (nor was this evident from any of the pictures - quite the contrary in fact - lovely big windows.) The room was small, which I appreciate cant be helped, but there was literally nowhere to stand the ironing board. It was a noisy room and, for some reason, the double bed had two single duvets on it. All in all not the best nights sleep.

Wir durften eine tolle Zeit in London verbringen, das Hotel hat aber leider nicht viel zu den positiven Erinnerungen beigetragen. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und war sauber, es hat kein Restaurant oder andere Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben die Unterkunft Dreiviertel Jahr im Voraus gebucht und haben gefühlt das letzte Zimmer des Hotels erhalten. Wir haben zwei Zimmer gebucht für 4 Personen. Beide Zimmer waren im Untergeschoss und waren sehr klein, die Koffer mussten auf dem Bett geöffnet werden, da es sonst kein Platz gab, es gab nur eine offene Garderobe um die Kleider zu lagern. Eines der Zimmer hatte KEIN Fenster und lag neben einem Technikraum in dem ein Kompressor oder ähnliches platziert ist, auf jedenfalls war dieses Geräusch ständig und laut im Zimmer zu hören. Dieses Geräusch war auch im zweiten Zimmer noch zu hören aber nicht mehr so penetrant. Mehrmals waren wir an der Rezeption mit der Bitte das Zimmer wechseln zu können. Dreimal wurde uns versprochen, dass wir das Zimmer wechseln können und dreimal wurde das uns versprochene Zimmer anders weitervermietet und wir mussten im lauten, fensterlosen Zimmer bleiben. Das Personal war stets freundlich aber nicht Kompetent und wollte oder konnte keine Verantwortung übernehmen. Die verschiedenen Personen haben nicht miteinander gesprochen und unser Anliegen ging immer wieder verloren. Das Personal machte den Eindruck als würde es einfach seine Zeit absitzen. Wir werden das Hotel nicht wieder buchen.

Dear Natalie,Please accept our apologies that the room was not what you expected.I kindly remind you that the reservations were made for a twin room, which is 2 beds, since the hotel is small we go according to our availability, and unfortunately the only two rooms available with two beds were in the basement.We have another room with two beds on the ground floor, but if it wasn't assigned to you it was because it was occupied.And lastly, no complaint was mentioned, as it was not reported in the booking, we would have been happy to find a solution,Kind Regards, Nicole

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und die Platzverhältnisse bescheiden. Das Personal aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Umgebung gut, Restaurants und Cafés in unmittelbarer Nähe, sowie die U-Bahnstation

Location: Tolle Restaurants in der Nähe
Sehr gute Lage, Personal sehr bemüht, Zimmer sehr klein, sauber. Im Erdgeschoss und Untergeschoss hört man ab un zu die dumpfe underground.... gute Basis für Kurztrip. Gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
