Stayed here twice on my last trip to the UK (once on arrival and the day before departure). Location and price were excellent (I believe I paid £60-70 for both nights). The rooms and most of the premises are very clean (exception is the hallways to the rooms are a little beat up). Staff was very friendly and helpful. A couple of minor detractors: wifi was incredibly slow (more so on the second stay), so I paid £5 for premium wifi for 24 hours. They also charged £15 for early check in, but there's a safe space to store your bag if you'd rather wait until 3. Overall, I think it was good value and I would gladly stay there again.

The staff at reception seemed to be doing their own thing as everytime you spoke to a different person they gave different responses. Upon checking in, we should have been informed that if we needed cleaning, we needed to call reception before 12pm. We weren't told anything upon checking in. The receptionist on the 2nd day said i should have looked at the website. Seriously??? Whats their job then if i can self serve everything on website

Very convenient but with a few issues

First, the good: the room was clean and faced a quiet green-covered courtyard. There was a good-sized bathtub that you don't see often in this range of hotels (although no mini-refrigerator). The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a good number of varied eating facilities in the hotel. There's a city bus right in front of the hotel that takes you to Heathrow. The bad: Although it seems like reasonably new construction, the loud creaks and pounding on the ceiling from my upstairs neighbor simply going through their normal morning routine was disturbing, particularly since he/she was up and about at 6am and didn't leave until 6:30. Also, I normally don't have to worry about the internet in most hotels these days, but here I did. They have 2 levels of internet: the free one, which they claim is usable for email (it wasn't, in my room at least, with only one bar of service) or the paid version (which did work, although the ISP providing it REQUIRED my personal info including email address to provide either one). This made sense in the 1990s but not today. I expect functional internet to be included in the rate of almost any hotel in the civilized world today.

phone in room did not work I told front desk clerk they did nothing about it. IF you use wash cloths to take a shower they do not use them at this hotel, I thought that was crazy, I had to go out and buy one.

Brilliant worth the money
