They didn’t tell us about construction going on there until the day before check in. And it would start every morning at 8am and it was extremely loud.
Stay for one night due to work. Bathroom tiny and no coffee facilities in the rooms. The room was very noisy due to being on the ground floor and could hear the tube rumbling past- I was not informed or offered ear plugs. Woke up the next morning with bites on my arms. I will not be staying here again !!
Room was comfortable but lacked space for clothes, had to live out of suitcase as there were only eight hangers in my room and no drawers. No breakfast included in stay. No lift or elevators. Staff very friendly and helpful

Staff have been very helpful and responsive. The hotel is conveniently located near main train station, subway and restaurants.
For everything that the owners could control- like the location to the Paddington Station, cleanliness of room and hotel, front desk staff- absolutely FIVE STARS. However, we had an issue with the first room we were assigned...it was up several flights of very narrow stairs. Fortunately, St. David's staff was able to accommodate us to a ground floor room for our second to fifth nights. Both rooms were impeccably clean, freshly painted, and bathrooms were updated. I would recommend any American to request a ground floor room.

Four flights of a rickety curved narrow staircase using your phone for light while carrying your luggage. The room had a toilet and sink so small that I hit my head on the toilet paper holder getting up. Shower shared not just down the hall but on a different floor. Room heated nicely. Had a nice window view onto the park.
Fantastic value for money, cute property, well looked after even during renovations. Warm, clean room and extremely attentive staff. Couldn't fault our stay. Thank you

This would have been a nice budget hotel for an older person except for a single major flaw — there is no lift! I had other minor quibbles, but this is the biggest.
The staff could not have been more helpful. They took my bags upstairs without problems — and brought them down again at the end of my stay. They were courteous and friendly at all times. I don't know how they do it, frankly. But my knees were in terrible pain after two days of climbing stairs, not only from the ground floor to my room on the first, but also from my room up 14 steps to the shared loo on the landing. There are regulations in London about accommodating people with limited mobility, but either no one enforces the regulations or older hotels are exempt. A real shame.

One night stay
Cheap (in London terms) and cheerful. Didn’t expect a lot, but bed was comfier than expected (albeit single and not huge). Room central heating didn’t seem to work although there was an electric radiator hidden which I didn’t see. Bathroom was small but fine, albeit no door. Also shower took about 5 mins before it went hot. Perfectly suitable option for a cheap one night stay / somewhere to crash. Would not recommend for older people, anyone with disability or accessibility requirements, given the nature of property (had to walk up 4-5 flights of narrow stairs and corridors, no lift).
worth the money, the neatness is topnotch very affordable and nice customer service. Room fully heated, safe and secured. Close to the train station. Highly recommend
Its clean, and in a central area.
If you need a bed and that's all and at a good price, this will do the job well.
If your a family or a light sleeper, then not idea. The trains could keep some people awake depending on what floor your on.
The building is being worked on - there was building work noise staring each morning about 10ish - so if you looking for a sleep in - no way.
The rooms are small and if your on the top floor i hope your fit as the stairs are steep.
Its fine, i just needed a bed and it did the job - but lets see how its when all the work is finished.
A very beautiful hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in London! Close to lots of dining and coffee options and a few minutes walk from Maarten Baas’s Clock, which was a fun little sight to see.
Stayed for 3 nights, really impressed with the service and cleanliness. The bathroom was brand new and spotless. Rest of the room was also very nice. It is an old building so can get quite noisy at night, doors are quite close to each other so can really hear other people getting into their room, 1st night was quite loud but the rest was fine. I usually sleep with earplugs anyway so this was not a problem for me. Staff was helpful and friendly. They had a water dispenser and free coffee/tea kettle which was appreciated. The hotel was very close to Paddington station so it was ideal for us. Would definitely stay there again!
