Good for 1 night, not more

Positif points: the location and the room was clean. Négatif points: it was hot with no AC and too noisy. We can hear the train or metro until 11h30pm and the doors clapped every time someone goes in his room.

Disappointed in that no porter was available on my arrival to carry my heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. (And I left my heavier suitcase in the reception storage area). Fortunately, at checkout a housekeeper saw me leave my room and carried my suitcase down to reception. I do think in the promotions/ads for this hotel there should be a strong statement about it being a 3-storey walk-up especially for seniors like myself. Otherwise, I love this hotel and this has been my 3rd year staying there. (Always had porter assistance on past visits).

Very good location near Paddington train station. The staff was accommodating to let us bring our luggage early and store it for us until we checked in later. Same the day we checked out — we could leave our luggage there while we did some sightseeing before our train left. The park across the street was a great place to eat lunch! (Carry-out). We would stay there again if we had similar travel options plans.

Great location a very short walk from the Paddington tube station.There is tree lined Norfolk Square out front. Rooms are smallish but very comfortable.

The good: It’s very close to Paddington station in a pretty square with lots of dining options. The room has a very good shower. The bad: Rooms are tiny and cramped. Bathroom sink is very small. There’s no air conditioning so you’ll need to use the fan they provide on full blast and open the window wide all night. The doors slam so guests returning late will wake you up when they enter their rooms. THERE IS NO LIFT (elevator) and you may have to carry your bag up 3 or 4 very narrow, steep, curvy flights of stairs.

Lovely interior decor. That’s why we picked the place. No air conditioning is tough for Americans. And they have a strange policy with room keys: they don’t trust you to leave the building with them, so you have to leave it at the 24 hour concierge and request it back when you return (they never asked for ID). Pretty friendly staff, though, and great proximity to the train lines, and the wallpaper is nice.

Excellent location, lovely staff and clean/tidy room; good for a day or two but probably wouldn't choose as a base for a long visit. No elevator and a lot of narrow stairs, no tea/coffee etc in room, shower wasn't great (think a washer had broken on the attachment also)

The property is in a good location right around the corner from Paddington Station. There are no elevators and I had to go up four flights of stairs each time I came in and out. The room had a bathroom with a sink but the shower was down one flight. It didn't bother me but it may not be for some people. The bathroom in the room was quite small. The staff were OK and you leave your key when you leave. One German/Austrian reception guy just handed me my room key without even looking up or checking my picture which I inquired about my room security if that is how he operates. He was a little rude with his response.

Great position just 5 minutes from Paddington station. Lovely friendly lady on the check in desk who went through a few things we needed to know. Room was in the basement which would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues but was ok for us. There was a door leading to a tiny outside space which was good as we had to leave that door open all night as couldn’t turn the heated towel rail off and the room was very hot. Price was great and it’s good value for money.

Great, safe area with lots within walking distance which was handy! The room we stayed in was tiny, not big enough to open a suitcase on the ground and it was also extremely hot in the room, may not be the best stay in summer!

This should not be listed as a hotel. It is a hostel! This is not a hotel that I would recommend. The rooms are beyond small. The shared bathroom situation should not exist given all of the dangers. I was on the very top floor. The steps were narrow and you could easily fall! This should not be advertised by Expedia. I left after one night!
