The hotel and room were exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The room smelled fresh and was spotless. Access to the hotel and room were keyless which is very convenient. The staff were super friendly and professional. The hotel is very close to the metro and is within walkable distance to popular attractions such as Kyoto garden, V&A the Museum and the National History museum.

I even didn’t stay an hour in the hotel. Workmen were everywhere and the TV in my room had only the worst programs you can dream off. None of the TV aps worked which I was told was the supplier’s fault but he has been informed and this would be sorted as and when possible and, apparently, all the bedrooms (I am talking about the ones ready for customers) were affected. But, as the manager pointed out, this hotel company is not for people who want to enjoy a night in but who want to enjoy discovering London … Unfortunately for me, and customer who have a small child, I am only staying one night for business tomorrow, I am tired and doesn’t fancy discovering London but chill out after travelling all day to come here!! The room would have been OK without this problem, as for customer service … I can understand now why there is the option of paying £5.90 or so for a refund which I applied for at first but then cancelled it as I thought I won’t need it, well, how wrong can you be?

everything was so nice! i felt so safe and cozy as a solo traveler here. i wish there were fridges but did just fine without one! they had little snacks in a vending machine, tea/hot drinks 24/7, and a lovely staff. location was super convenient and i felt right at home! i will be staying here next time i’m in town. thank you all!

This was a horrible experience and hotel. I’ve never felt less valued as a customer as I had when things went south with the Drey. When we arrived we were “upgraded” to a lesser room and thats where it all went downhill. We asked to get the difference back for the original room we rented and were continuously told that because we booked with Expedia there was nothing they could do. Funny that when they tried to push us out they could offer a real refund. They proceeded to move us to the original room only for us to find used eyelashes stuck to the mirror along with sequins on the floor. When we complained we were accompanied by the head of housekeeping who sweared he had checked this third room. Only for me to immediately find more hair on the floor along with a pube on the toilet. The only resolution they could ever come up with was us leaving on a Saturday night with nowhere to go. I have never been more disappointed with a stay in my life. No one seemed to care in the slightest about our complaints to the point we were actively ignored when being in the lobby. I will be telling everyone I can to NEVER stay at the Drey. My father is head of key accounts for a large world-wide chemical company and he’ll be sure to never take clients to this hotel.

I’ll start with the positive. The staff was excellent and the property was clean. Unfortunately, beyond that, the stay was very disappointing. Not every room has a television. We were told this was intentional to encourage guests to explore the city. That may be a philosophy, but it is misleading when some rooms do have TVs and this is not clearly stated at booking. The room photos also make the spaces appear much larger than they are. Even as very tidy travelers, we were constantly bumping into each other due to the extremely tight layout. Several basic amenities were missing or did not function properly. The coffee maker did not work. Face towels were not provided. The air conditioner sounded like running water throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. There were no side tables and no drawers or storage, which is surprising given the high bed frame where storage could have easily been incorporated. The shower was extremely small, smaller than what I experienced in college housing. Overall, the room felt more like a cross between a tiny home and a hostel rather than a hotel. Guests are encouraged to use a fully digital experience, including digital room keys, yet the WiFi was unreliable and frequently went out. Eventually, we were given a traditional room key, which worked far better. If the staff had not been so accommodating and kind, I would have rated this stay much lower. The staff is very courteous. The issues we experienced were related to the room size, the need to request house keeping, the sinks that don’t line up properly underneath the faucet, and the hit or miss internet. The staff did their very best but the hotel has only been in operation for 3 weeks and there are many kinks to work through unfortunately.
