Great room let down by DUMB TV

It was great value for money with a great king size bed and outside seating area. Sadly, the SMART TV was not so smart and couldn’t cast either- needs to be updated.

The Rockwell is a reasonable hotel in need of some renovation. Both our room and the public areas were tired and could use a freshen, especially things like carpets. Staff were helpful but language was an issue - for most, English was clearly a second language. The hotel location is mid-way between Gloucester Road and Earls Court tube stations, so there is a walk either way. Overall, it wasnt a bad experience but I probably wouldnt stay at the Rockwell again.

An excellent stay

An excellent overnight stay. The Rockwell is very conveniently located just 5-10 minutes walk from Earl's Court tube station. There are a couple of small supermarkets, various restaurants and a couple of pubs on the route from the station. The lobby area is very welcoming with a fireplace, sofas and a library area. The public areas looked very clean and well-maintained, as was our spacious and comfortable room. The room layout was brilliant with a seating area, (with a TV, a table with a kettle and bottled water and a coffee table) and shower room downstairs and a mezzanine bed area with a lovely comfy bed, reached by spiral stairs. There are lots of places to put your things and sufficient hanging space. There's a safe and a mini-bar (which we didn't use). The bathroom was nice and clean and the water pressure was good (we were on the 1st floor). We wished we were staying for longer!

Great Stay

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was quite large by London standards for a good price. Earl’s Court has a lot of restaurants with food from around the world and the Tube was convenient. If you are a Chelsea fan going to the Bridge…this hotel is perfect.

The Rockwell was great, very comfortable & convenient location. Staff was helpful & accommodating. My biggest concern choosing a hotel was the internet, since I had several work calls. The wifi signal was strong & stable and I was able to take all my zoom calls without any issues!

Best Hidden Gem in Kensington

Absolutely loved my room and its quaint little patio. The room and bathroom were huge and well appointed. Perfect location minutes from the tube, in the heart of it all. Staff were friendly and accommodating. This is my new home in London.

Position was excellent - within walking distance of many eateries and transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, able to assist with the many questions of new travellers. Despite being on a main road, you could not hear the traffic at all. Bed was comfortable. Room quite small however, and some fixtures need fixing. Otherwise an excellent stay.
