I had to chase the owner by phone to get the door code, which I finally got 45 minutes after check-in time. Getting into my room felt like an escape room experience in reverse (3 keys, no instructions, multiple doors). The evening proved noisy, I could hear conversations through the walls and whenever someone came up the stairs, plus noise from the kitchen. My door shook whenever someone slammed their door (regularly). A young child kept screaming in the corridor, even past 11pm (luckily I packed earplugs). In the room I found stains on the table cloth and bedsheets sheets, and flatpack furniture under my bed. It definitely didn't look as nice as the the photos on the website, but was functional. The shower fixtures were fitted too low for tallish adults and the towels were like large dish towels (small and very thin). I also smelt cigarettes from another room in the morning. Overall it felt like student accommodation. The lack of staff on hand, plus the owner being hard to get hold of, meant I put up with the numerous issues. My stay served a purpose (one night) and luckily I used discount credits via the booking site, otherwise I would have been a lot less accepting. On the positive side it had Netflix and was close to a tube station and various shops. I would not come back and would only recommend it for people on a tighter budget who don't have work the next day.
