Doubletree near LAX El segundo with LAX shuttle 6a-11p. Rooms good sized. Coffee maker in room but no coffee down in lobby. Pay breakfast a la art or buffet. Very quiet for being close to airport. Clean.

We were delayed getting into LAX, and checked in at 1:45AM. There was one front desk staff member using a computer that asked me to wait while he did something on the computer for a few minutes … then checked me in. It’s 1:45 in the morning - just check me in so I can sleep then continue doing whatever else you were on before I arrived! The room was musty and damp. It was clean though, and the bed was comfortable. We had booked a room with breakfast buffet included, but weren’t given vouchers at check-in. We had to go to the front desk to sort that out at the end of the

This review is based on a one-night stay on a Monday night in October 2025. My husband and I were in town for a funeral and checked into this property the night prior. The man who checked us in was polite enough and self-parking was relatively simple/straightforward (albeit $35/night), but the compliments end there. No one offered to help us with our luggage though we were able to locate a bell cart ourselves. We were given a room on the fifth floor and upon entering the room, we were immediately disappointed. The drapery is visibly stained to the point that I didn’t even want to tough the drapes in order to close/open them. Despite booking a room with a king-size bed for two guests, we were only provided with three lumpy pillows. During the night, my husband became hot, so he tried to turn the a/c down but all that happened was a noisy machine started pumping out smelly air that didn’t feel any cooler. It was only the next morning that my husband figured out he had to set the temp at like 50º for the a/c to actually start cooling the room down. While getting ready for the funeral service the next morning, we nearly flooded the bathroom (because the shower door does not seal correctly), which made for a slippery and dangerous morning routine. I believe my husband had other complaints but these were the big ones. Unfortunately, we left in a rush and did not have an opportunity to relay our concerns to the staff at this property. Regardless, we would not stay here again.
