Although the room was lovely, the windows, sounded like they were open. Therefore Saturday nights festivities seemed like they were in our room. Kids running up and down the hall at midnight. You'd think the hotel would have rules and letting folks know after 10:00 pm it is quieter time..As the kids and adults were extremely loud until passed midnight.. The door slamming everytime someone entered or exited their room was awful. We had asked for a light bulb replacement but never received it.. Too noisy on the first floor older part of the hotel. Which is a shame.. The hotel itself is very lovely and breakfast, a buffet type, was good..

A good base close to excellent road links

Close to the motorway system and bus routes into Glasgow, the Glynhill provides a good base. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the food is good as are the spa and pool.

Small Room

Staff were very friendly and welcoming however the room was a bit tired and very small. The window looked on to the roof of what I think was the kitchen/dining area and there was some kind of fan unit which was pretty noisy at times throughout the day/evening and also the smell of cooking/food was all we could get when the window was open ( due to the room being so small we had no choice but to open the window when the room was warm). Breakfast was ok, but staff very polite and helpful all round the hotel.

Service was slow. Pool was too hot and smelt of sewage. Gym was sweltering!! Room was pleasant enough for the price.

Staff are fantastic, couldn't be more helpful, whether in the bar or at reception. Room clean and tidy. Lots of choice for breakfast. Pool was nice, but not very relaxing as children in the pool were very loud. Had a lovely afternoon tea there as well and food was delicious.

Fine for the price

Pleasant enough but bed could use a new mattress and bathroom needed a it of a deep clean. The shower and sink pressure was very poor, making washing hair tough. I never ate in the hotel, so can't comment on this. I found the pool far too hot, it felt like swimming in a bath. The gym are was very hot too.

Tired with overcooked breakfast

Hotel was tired and in need of decoration. Bedroom was dated and a coat of paint would be welcome. Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable and probably 20+ years old. Whilst bathroom was good, water pressure was very poor and although I asked for this to be looked at, it wasn't rectified. Breakfast was poor. Overcooked food with bacon and fired eggs that could be used as frizz bees, tinned fruit and lacking in things like yogurt. Reception staff were very friendly however.

Hotel was easy to find. Staff very friendly. Spa facilities were good. But no seal round door of sauna so never got really hot. Clean warm swimming pool. Good steam room. Good changing facilities. Good sized bedroom but it only had a small radiator and was not big enough to warm the room up. There was a fan for when it was hot but ok additional heating. It was really cold when we stayed and so asked for a heater, unfortunately they didn’t have any and so the following evening we asked for an extra quilt.

Enjoyed our stay , room very clean Little things were , bed a bit hard and thought that £19 for breakfast was expensive , as it was average .Having said that I will stay again , and everything else was very nice ! As were the staff
