This was advertised as a four star hotel
The room we were allocated had a threadbare carpet , an old black vinyl based bed and all the vinyl was peeling off and worn . A mismatch of poor quality bathroom fixtures, varnish peeling off the furniture.
This was reported to reception but no other rooms were available no manager till the following morning either so I asked if a message could be left and we would see him .
Only the duty manager was available no message had been left at all .
We moved to another room which had been refurbished which was we should have had initially.
We arrived in the restaurant for breakfast the following morning and waited 20 minutes for our order to be tsken . Half an hour later it still hadn’t arrived . This was reported also and we were refunded £13 for the breakfast.
After receiving a mail from the hotel asking how our stay was and the general managers mail to contact him with any concerns , I sent a mail and still waiting a reply …..
