Poor quality towels. No notepad & pen or pencil, dirty-looking phone, no minibar or water. Though there was a coffeemaker which was awkward to access. Leather chair was a bit ripped. My personal silk pillowcase was removed after 1st night and I'm still trying to get $60 credit or return

A terrible disappointment

I’ve stayed happily in this hotel before, but on this occasion, the curtains in my room didn’t work, the bedside lamp wouldn’t turn on, the rainforest shower didn’t work (and the hand-held shower blasted out cold water when turned to hot). The pool was closed, the free tea and coffee are no longer free and not offered as advertised, and the staff (with two wonderful exceptions) are really unfriendly and sullen. This week found me in four hotels around Los Angeles; none was great, but during the three nights I stayed at the usually reliable Westin, it set new records for unhelpful service and broken amenities.

Location is great ~ I got an ADA room which I did not need or ask for so missed the bathtub and robes but enjoyed the extra space Though I was on 10 th floor the bathroom had a moldy sewer odor in bathroom Other than those minor inconveniences it was an overall good stay and may come back I was deprived that the 3rd party cost was much better than through hotel website ~ thus the room assignment ?

No more Westin stays.

The Westin used to be one of our top choices when choosing a hotel. Sadly, Weston has become the brand of rundown rooms and marginal service. We arrived at check in time and were told they were sold out but we had one room left for us. The room was so small that the closet was 1 foot from the bed. The closet doors were broken, the dresser drawer was broken, the bathroom was grungy, and the towels smelt musty. Sadly, our friend that we invited to join us for the weekend, arrived just behind us (they made their own reservation directly with the hotel) and had to wait several hours for a room despite the fact that they advised the hotel that they needed to get ready for an event. It was embarrassing to us that we had chosen the Westin.
