Overall a good resort. Food is okay, staff service was excellent. The location is great if you like walking around, lots of convenience stores, spas, and ect within walking distance. Gym was good, pools were clean and not too busy. For being a lower priced resort it was good. You just got to keep that in mind when looking at amenities.

I would avoid the Decameron. I booked through Hotels.com as did 6 other friends. They did not have check in issues, but I did. This is the second time a hotel I booked through hotels.com could not find my reservation when I arrived at the hotel. It took them 3 hours to discuss this with hotels.com and they said they had found the reservation after we sat in the lobby unable to have access to the room I paid for, go to the bar, or refresh after a long travel day. This seriously cut into the day we were hoping to have. They finally said they found it but there was a modification which caused it to somehow get lost, although I did not modify. After all this debacle we finally got access to our room. We had asked to be close to the rooms of our other friends when we booked but this was by availability so after all this it did not happen. The signage in the hotel is not clear so rooms are difficult to find. Our shower was not draining so flooded out into the main bathroom area until it got to the second drain. We were out and they sent security to find us to put a new card on file, even after wasting 3 hours of our day while they sorted my check in, and giving them a card to make a small eco charge onto. They then had security walk me to my room to get my card for them to charge like I was going to try to avoid paying for the hotel, which is ridiculous. I had even shown them my receipt and payment through hotels.com at the time of check in but they noted it was not on file.

Where do I begin! We arrived in our room to find the sink clogged and full of water! Property is very outdated until you reach the pool area, which is stunning, and the location felt safe and walkable, with ample stores and restaurants within walking distance, or short and cheap Ubers! The food was the worst part, which is why I think the all inclusive was so inexpensive! The pool restaurant staff were rude, but the buffet staff were very courteous! Overall one of my worst hotel experiences!

Good value for the money! San Jose area is a 30 min taxi or bus ride from Cabo San Lucas, so realize the distance between. We were surprised by the downtown San Jose area, really enjoyed exploring there, good nightlife. The hotel is very clean, love the "room to pool to beach" easy access. Try to book an ocean view room. The buffet has little variety. Very clean, staff very friendly!

We liked that it was a little smaller and you got to know other people. There were a lot of choices for food options and great servers and bartenders, all staff was courteous and helpful. We were a group of 5 62 yr old women and we had a wonderful time it was fun and enough activities if we wanted to do something and quiet places if we wanted that. We all said that we slept well and were VERY HAPPY WE CHOSE DECAMERON

They definitely would limit the water on us even when we said we had a baby. And when tried to check out early for a family emergency they made it very clear we would not get any refunds at all even though we checked out a whole day early and let them know in advance. The food was okay but definitely not tasty either. Same every day. It wasn’t horrible but definitely not the best.
