I liked we could checking in earlier as the room was ready. The lady in the front desk was very nice. What I did not like was there’s not microwave or vending machine. The ice machine was nearby.

Our room at Skyland was upgraded for us, which was appreciated. The room was nicely appointed, clean and well maintained. Food in the dining room was expensive but very tasty.

The location is good. It’s just about the halfway point on Skyline Drive.
Nice walk to waterfall.
Homemade blackberry ice cream pie. Amazing. At the restaurant at Skyland Lodge.

Lovely views

Restaurant was conveniently located but overpriced for the accommodations. Beautiful views and the nostalgia of the original cabins was sweet. Definitely going back when i have more time to hike.

Rustic on the outside and blends in with nature. Clean and tidy on the inside and looks to be recently renovated. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Beautiful view overlooking Luray at night. We plan to stay two nights next time. Front desk was efficient, polite and professional.

Beautiful area, surrounded by woods, lots of hiking trails. Old-fashioned lodge with old style room. Beds comfortable, bathroom fine, great shower. Love the balcony where we could sit and look over the view. Doors and some fixtures could be modernized a bit--the old latches didn't work too well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dining room convenient. Dinner was so-so, breakfast ok. Would be happy to stay there again, but might look for another place to eat. rating is 4.5.

We stayed at Skyland for one night. The location was perfect as an interlude to our exploration of Skyline Dr. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and the view stunning. The Taproom bartender, Rick, is attentive and friendly and we appreciated his kind service for dinner. Kelly provided prompt and friendly service in the dinind room for breakfast. The food was good. All in all a good stay and we'd do it again.
