Checking in was a breeze since we’d already done the online check-in. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The only downside was the wifi in room number 5 (it’s the furthest away from the lift and the signal is weak). Overall, it was a great stay!

The property was clean and good, BUT, there is no personnel on site. We had a fire alarm at 12:13 am and there was no one there to give us answers so everyone was waiting on the street, for someone to come an say something, nothing happened, no firemen, no police, nothing, had to wait until 2am for someone from the alarme services of the hotel came and turned it off and let us into the hotel again. next day, we could not go into the property because none of the codes that they gave us were working, wifi, was not working, we also had to wait outside so that someone from outside can come in and fix this, we could not get into our room. another day the same thing happened in my room with the AC had to talk through a chat so they can guide me on how to find and reset the electrical box in my room. I can do this easily because I am an engineer and can fin my way around some types of situation like this but I can't imagine my wife being alone with my kid in this room having to do this. also I had billing issues I paid through Expedia and the property charged my credit card again, and did the refund because it was an error but the euro is worth more than the dollar so I paid more and received less money. the bank obviously says this is not there problem and they say they have refunded what was charged.

Comfortable stay

No frills hotel, but clean and spacious room. Kitchen and laundry facilities a bonus. Resonably close to Atocha station and about a 15 min walk to Plaza Mayor. A couple of ok bars and restaurants nearby. Huge LIDL supermarket below.

Looks great on paper, but the service was a major letdown The location was fantastic — close to shops, subway, and attractions — and the room itself was spacious, modern, and well-equipped with a kitchenette and laundry. Unfortunately, the service didn’t live up to expectations. The Sonder app, which is supposed to offer 24/7 support, was anything but — I often waited 12+ hours for responses and had to follow up multiple times. The worst issue came when housekeeping locked my AC during a 35°C day. The App support refused to move us to another room or help meaningfully in any way. We ended up fixing it ourselves by throwing the breaker. When we should have been out enjoying ourselves, instead we were fixing a problem ourselves, that should not have occurred in the first place. Staff the next morning gave excuses and shifted blame, insinuating we had done something to lock the AC. No solutions were offered, no apologies uttered and no efforts made to make up for the inconvenience we experienced. Sonder has potential, but poor service and lack of accountability ruined what should’ve been a great stay. I won’t be booking with them again.

Simple and stylishly decorated with a high level of finish. We booked Studio King and the room was pretty big, lots of light through the windows and not overlooked. Super comfy bed, great amenities in the room and a Lidl right next door for supplies. The kitchenette was also useful and well stocked. Not far from Metro stops and about a 20-30 min walk into the city centre. Managing our stay through the App and having Access codes to enter the building and rooms worked well for us but can see this being tricky for someone who perhaps isn't as tech savvy. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back again!

Hotel room is new and clean, AC works great. It comes with kitchen so you can cook in the hotel room if you don't feel like eating out, perfect for family with babies. There's a supermarket within walkable distance. Reminder to have dinnerwares ready as the room doesn't provide any. Overall a great hotel to stay at.

The apartment was comfortable and located at walking distance of several points of interests, although location is not pristine. Everything needed for my stay was provided. Communication was not great, there were problems at check-in and also problems with the access code which were not readable to start with and did not work until they were changed twice, that part was not great.

A very handy location for tourist visiting

The accommodation is of high standard and the contactless dealings with check in etc. made it easy. One slight downside was the lack of soundproofing from the road, it sounded like we had a window open. Ear plugs were supplied but not needed as it was quiet at night.
