Nice place but....

Roomy apartment. Great location in Madrid. Housed our party of eight no problem. Overall a nice apartment and we had a good visit. Here are the negatives: Room wasn't ready when we got there (we were tired and wanted to rest) Instead we had to go kill another two hours to let the cleaning crew finish up... But the cleaning crew did an amazing job. Checkout was equally as bad. They had blocked access to the virtual key the night before rather than after our check out. We were locked out in the morning and could not get back into the apartment. We made a few calls but no answer. Fortunately we had most of our belongings except for a small bag of dirty laundry and food that we had on the table. We just left the bag there as our airport shuttle couldn't wait. Being locked out of the place your staying can make you upset especially when you should have access until you leave. If it weren't for the room not prepared, confusion of check in and check out, and finally the early lockout, this would be a 5 star stay. Its a nice place, but they let the ball drop a couple of times during our stay.
