The “Greece at the Casa de Madrid” bedroom is located in a landmark building in the old part of Madrid, where Philip Vth built their Royal Palace. The apartment occupies the entire second floor and has 14 balconies that face the Royal Opera House and have views of Plaza de Oriente and the Royal Palace. The Greece bedroom is very quiet and spacious, looks onto the tranquil inner courtyard. It is decorated with frescos of ruins and water views of Greece, with and a decor of a timeless bygone era. Guests appreciate the warm and inviting ambiance of the Casa de Madrid, which offers a unique and romantic luxury stay experience. The staff is very helpful and charming, providing a welcoming and personal atmosphere that you’d expect of an intimate luxury accommodation. The location is excellent, with the Opera Metro station facing the building, and easy to get to on foot from Sol, Gran Via, Plaza de España. . . wherever you need and away from the madding crush. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby. Guests have enjoyed their all the touches that made them feel special and attended to.

The day of my arrival the host wanted to check me in a different room than the one I had originally booked telling me that the room I had booked someone has been living there for months and he was not going to kick him out.I called VRBO right away and I could not get through guest services so that they would help me relocate. After a long wait no one picked up the phone. I was left to fend for myself to try to find another place to stay at the last minute. This apartment being advertised is a scam and VRBO needs to make this right so that this never happens to other guests.

We never received the key. There was no one at the place. Very difficicult to find and no one answered the phone. I had a very bad experience. Do not recomment at all. I had to book another place while in Madrid already.

The host did not contact us with our check-in information. After several failed attempts to contact the host, we had to find last-minute accommodations in Madrid. For obvious reasons, I do not recommend this property or host. Luckily, VRBO was quick to help us with a reimbursement for this booking.

Good - but need better communication

The property is good overall and is in a very good location. I appreciate historical buildings, but the creaking floors were no longer quaint after the second night. The hoat did not provode check in info until i asked,and then never lrovided any check out instructions. Nit good.
