Great location. Right in the middle of Gran Via. The hostel has a really tiny sign and is located on part of the floor of a residential building. The room was really small. We had our own bathroom but the bathroom was extremely small to a point where you can't wash your face in the sink without splashing water all over yourself and you can put your head on the sink sitting on the toilette....Unexpectedly small.....But the room was cheap...

Cute hostel in great location

My stay at Hostal Madrid Inn was very pleasing. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. It is located 1 block off of Gran Via, so it is really one of the most convenient locations to stay in Madrid. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely simple hostel!

The location of this hostel is its huge selling point, it's so close to so many areas, and only a couple of minutes walk from Gran Via. Only 10 minutes or so from masalaña and chueca, and 10-15 minutes from Plaza Mayor and the market. The hostel itself is safe and clean, and all the staff are very friendly. They will look after your bags if you arrive early or need to leave after check in which is a really nice bonus. The room is basic, but clean, and can be cleaned every day if you wish. We sometimes couldn't get comfy in the beds, but obviously this is down to personal preference! The rooms were always cool and clean. The only downside is that we didn't have a safe, so we left everything locked in our bags. Other than that it's great value and we'd be happy to stay again.

Great location and cute

This is in a fantastic location, only a few minutes walking to Sol, and right by great shopping and eating. My only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to find, with the hostal name advertised up on the 4th floor, and descretly on the entryway door. You can either walk from the Sol or Calleo Metro stations to get there. The room was very cute, especially how they situate the towels. It felt very fancy. Small room, but was plenty of space for just me.

Our only quibble was that the room was literally across the hall from the registration cubicle. It had little in the way of space to stretch out in, but it was cozy & comfy.

hostal close to Gran Via

When I arrived at Hostal Madrid I was told there was no booking even when I showed them my expedia reservation. I was booked into another hotel for the night where I had to pay cash then move back to Hostal Madrid for the other 2 nights. I will not use expedia again. Bill Hughes

Pleasantly Surprised

We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The location was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a small room but it was very efficiently set up. Loved it.
