Property was in excellent location, walking distance to restaurants, metro and other facilities. The room was small but for the purposes to take a shower and sleep is fine. They should add at least an small refrigerator.

Great value. You get what you pay for. Great location. Clean, relatively comfortable. Comfortable bathroom. Clean. Not much acoustics to reduce noise from drainage and other renters. Overall a good deal for your money.

Great location for a budget accomodation

The location of this hostel could not be beat - it is right in the middle of all the action in Madrid. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Adequate room and bathroom size. The shower has good water pressure. What else could you ask for a budget accommodation? Would definitely stay here again. Be aware, at this time there is construction going on Gran Via Metro station, so you will have to walk 350 meters to/from Sol station to get to this place.

Great value hostel downtown Madrid

Great value accommodation right in the center of Madrid. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will happily stay there again.

Jerez was quite a good budget option. I booked it seeing it was close to Grand Via metro stop, but the station is closed for reconstruction so if access to metro is a big thing for you, it’d be worthwhile to research to see if Grand Via has reopened.

NO Safety Worries yet in the Heart of the Action!!

For several years now I have stayed at the Hostal Jerez. It’s really nice that they recognize me and always welcome me warmly each time. The Hostal couldn’t be any more centrally located; one can walk just about any place in the city without over-doing. The price is superb; the service is excellent. The rooms are always cleaned, fresh linens throughout, expeditiously. This time I asked for a favor. I am in the midst of taking 3 small trips outiside of Madrid, lasting 9 days total. I didn’t want to drag my huge “30-day” suitcase with me, and I was easily able to negotiate the Hostal’s locking it away for me, while outside the city, for €3 a day. To me, and I think you all will agree, that’s a STEAL for a favor granted. I will continue to stay each visit to Madrid at the Hostal Jerez!!

Only good thing about the hotel is the location. Everything else is terrible. Don't stay here unless you are only going to the hotel to sleep at night. Staff are a bit how you going as well.

Good location, clean hotel, right price

Very clean hotel easy walking distance to all Madrid attractions. Good price. Easy to get to and from both the airport and train station. Some reviews say it is in a sketchy location, but we felt safe walking around hotel at all hours.

Hostel is close to where the action is

This place is close to where all the action is. However, there nothing more that that. The rooms are old and the one we stayed reeked of McDonalds oil when the window was opened, Very basic.

Nice hotel in the heart of Madrid

Hotel is on Gran Via, high traffic area with many shops and restaurants. There are metro stops within a couple of feet, but most sights are within walking distance. The room was a good size, the staff wasn't necessarily 'friendly' but they weren't bad. You have a tiny balcony which is fun to people watch. There is a 'humid' smell that we tracked to the shower curtain which is cloth and doesn't seem to dry properly. Free wifi and 24-hour front desk.

Good value hotel in a great central location!

Very helpful and welcoming reception staff . Hotel is very well placed to explore central Madrid and close to bars and restaurants. Rooms quite basic but comfortable and represents good value for money.
