The hotel itself was lovely — the room in particular had a great view and the décor was very pleasant. However, for the nightly rate, we expected more in terms of service. Despite check-in being from 3pm, our room wasn’t ready and we ended up waiting around 45 minutes. We were repeatedly told it would be “just 5 more minutes,” and there was no real acknowledgment of the delay until we escalated it with a manager, who eventually offered two drink vouchers. Overall, while the hotel and room were beautiful, the service experience didn’t quite live up to the high price point or the strong reviews we’d seen

The hotel is amazing, best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Only issue was getting woken at 6am bye a telephone call from reception. Not once, but twice. Asking if we had booked a taxi, which we hadn’t. There’s also renovations ongoing, so once back asleep after the phone call, we had constant drilling
