Lovely apartment, great location and brilliant pool

The apartment was lovely and clean and more spacious than we’d thought it would be. The garden is huge as it’s a corner plot! There are electric shutters so we all slept in complete blackout, perfect - especially for our boys. The shower was great, and the ‘hot tub’ bath with jets, which they loved! The kitchen is slightly dated but wasn’t a problem as we weren’t in it much - and has the basics you need, such as washing liquid, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. Washing machine & airers are also handy. And we bought some extra capsules for the coffee machine - which takes the larger type pods. Wi-Fi was pretty good too. The two restaurants within walking distance are Palm Beach and Troccadero - we had good food at both, the latter is fancier and both have beach views. If only they did a kids menu / wider selection of food for kids in Spain. Our boys are 7 and 3 and the eldest is a bit more adventurous trying different fish but the youngest ended up eating nuggets and chips the whole holiday! Be wary of what time you go to eat - we arrived and walked there hoping to eat at 5:30pm but the kitchen was closed - at both restaurants. And reopened at 6:30pm - the kids were ‘starving’ so that left us with a dilemma. It’s best to phonepop in and book ahead of time. If you walk past Palm Beach restaurant, there is one called Kiosk which does great burgers & good beach food. The apartment is located a minute’s stroll to the beach which is lovely and sandy, and the boys enjoyed lying in the shallow waves. The communal pool (there are two but one of them is literally right next to the apartment’s garden) was a big hit with our kids. It has a shallow end and deep end - and our eldest loved diving to the bottom! He went in it every day and his swimming actually really improved during the holiday! There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool - and there is a lifeguard there too which was a great safety measure. The area where the apartments are located is secure with an electronic gate and there is an underground car park which was handy for our rental - but very narrow to get through the pillars, take it slow! Marbella town was a short drive away and we enjoyed visiting there one day. There is also an Aldi less than 10 mins drive away. All in all we had a really fantastic break and we would definitely return! Thanks so much to Yulia and Ivan for being so brilliant and helpful.
