A perfect stay to be in walking distance to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and near lovely shopping and dining. This 100-year old hotel is grand and hospitable!

Wet floors and jack hammers outweighed lobby.

What started out as a very disappointing check in. The carpet was soaking wet and serped into the bathroom making for a slippery floor. Didn't discover what ead wrong until shoes were removed. The concierge offered 4 towels or a downgrade room. No other assistance. Message to the hotel and one night stay was refunded. Towels were very dirty when replaced that evening. Cleaning staff was very surprised. Also jack hammering the next morning on the sidewalk below with no advance notice. Lobby and garden are beautiful.

Our second visit to this enchanting hotel in the heart of Ashland. During the first visit my partner and I fell in love with the place, this second time my grown children and I stayed and they loved it!

Historic hotel on Main Street within easy reach of all Ashland offers. We had a corner room on the 8th floor; high ceilings and big windows with lovely views of the Rogue Valley hillsides. Decor & amenities a bit dated (especially carpets & upholstery). But bed was comfortable and staff friendly and helpful

The only disappointment was the change in the breakfast buffet. It has always been free and expansive. I don't like having to pay $18 for it now. Maybe just include it in the rental rate. Much more customer friendly.

This is the second time we stayed there. The hotel, while old, is closest to the Shakespeare Festival, so that is a big plus. It was a surprise and disappointment that we got "nickeled and dimed" this time. You now have to pay for parking, and it is part of a "resort-fee" type of arrangement so I think you have to pay even if you don't have a car. Last time, breakfast was included; not so now.

I liked how close it was to the theaters for the Shakespeare festival. I liked having a place for my car and being in walking distance for the local restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. It was also wonderful to have a refrigerator in my room.

The property is 100 years old so I understand it’s going to need constant maintenance, however there were items in our room (room 616) that needed attention. Molding trim was missing from the refrigerator cabinet, the air intake filter in the bathroom could use a cleaning and whoever maintained it last time left a dirty handprint on the ceiling.

was quite disappointed with my recent stay. The overall condition of the building and facilities was poorly maintained. The bathroom layout was outdated and inconvenient, and the shower fixtures were old and not functioning well, which made it uncomfortable to use. Most concerning was the condition of the sofa in the room — the stains were noticeable and made the space feel unclean. With some proper upkeep and renovations, this hotel could be much more comfortable, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations during my stay.

Simple old fashioned elegance without being pompous. The Victorian themed nature collections of leaves, shells, butterflies, etc. that decorated the lobby, elevator, and halls were fascinating and added to the ambience of a step back in time. Dinner cuisine at the Larks Kitchen was beautifully prepared and served.

Perfect quiet great location overnight!!

Quick overnight with Shakespeare theater visit. Very nice old historic hotel. Room was small but perfect. Bathroom was roomy just a but dated. A few extra power plugs would be nice. very nice easy stay and parking was great. I like they had ice machine too and lil fridge too.
