Believe the reviews! Amazing hotel.

We spent 4 nights at the Gran Hotel. I booked pretty much on the rating and reviews alone and they are correct. It is beautiful, spotlessly clean, perfectly located and the Terraza restaurant is excellent. Most of all it is about the staff though. A special mention to Yael the bellboy who always met us with a beaming smile and an extra special mention to Cynthia who could not do enough for us. She is an exceptional asset to this hotel. Thank you.

There is a lot of action in the Zócalo square so a wonderful immersive experience. I really appreciated the water filter right outside my door and the fabulous breakfast buffet with the terrace view. There is so much to do here. I chose this hotel because of the spacious room.

Good but not exceptional

The check in process was quick and efficient and the door man an absolute charmer. Its not getting 4 stars as each day we had to ask for the room to be cleaned. At their price of a room I would expect the room to be cleaned in the morning. After 4:00 each afternoon I would have to stop at the desk to ask for it to be cleaned.

Everyone at the Gran Hotel Mexico was very friendly and helpful. They made sure our stay was pleasant and checked in regularly to make sure we where comfortable. The staff helped within tour bookings etc. Uriel and the concierge where very helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely professional. Also, the room and the hotel were very nice. Great views of the zocalo square from the rooftop bar. Food was also better than any other rooftop restaurants in the neighborhood.

I stay here frequently. I have a tradition of staying here during the Christmas holiday season because I love the way the Zócalo is lit up. I always get a suite facing the Zócalo. This year I had a friend with me so I reserved a suite with two beds, and unfortunately, they don't have any suites with two beds that have a view of anything. They gave us a suite, but it had a view of a brick wall next door. I was very disappointed. Next year I will be back to reserving a suite with a king size bed and a view of the Zocalo.
