Lovely room but sound insulation poor. Fantastic breakfast but room service efficiency not good. Given a one and a quarter hour wait time on a burger and fries meal. Decided to pass , since it was already late. Plug in bathroom sink not fit for purpose, had to keep water running to have a shave. Overall a reasonable stay but there is room for improvement.

Plus: Great staff, updated room, bar was convenient and reasonable for drink/food compared to airport amenities. Minus: Not sure why, with so few guests observed, we were assigned a room about as far away from the elevators as you could get (bag drag) and current construction along the road/curb outside the entrance made it difficult to unload and gain access.

Staff were very helpful in moving us to different rooms when another guest left a dog barking in their room - we were very grateful for the prompt action given we had an early start before 20 hours of flying. I enjoy staying at this hotel, always a courteous and efficient check in, good sized room, good lighting spotlessly clean. Great breakfast, with huge choice. Oh yes, forgot to mention how convenient the location is. What I’m not so keen on is the distance between the lifts and the rooms. On this visit I was as far from the lifts as it was possible to be. What makes this a problem is the thick carpet that doesn’t allow you to roll the suitcase upright on its wheels and you have to drag it - I’m old and with a heavy bag, that’s not a lot of fun. Also, not keen on the bath with a shower arrangement - walk in shower much better.
