On 3rd floor with broken elevator. They were aware and thought it repaired but broke after 2 trips. We are mid 70s and this created a bad experience. Staff did not offer another room, just a “sorry” so we had to climb steps repeatedly. Always give guest an option - I hesitate to stay again.

The outdoor fire pit, both lobby tvs were broken. The hot tub in pics has been removed so just a pool. Location was great, staff was amazing. Some rooms were musty but easily moved to another room. We had a large group and the lobby area was perfect for gathering.

Hope you like bread, that’s because that’s all you get for breakfast, white, wheat, plain bagels or everything bagel. No protein choice. Breakfast was seriously lacking. You might as well pack your own breakfast.

Great stay

This was a great hotel for the price. The main space in the lobby was great. There was booths, chairs, couches, tvs and small tables. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. Would have been better if there was a hot tub, but not a deal breaker. Would be nice to have bathrooms closer to the pool area. Breakfast was ok. It was mostly carbs... bread, bagles, cereal. No protein options, no Peanut Butter, eggs, meat. And a few fruit options. Said they served Starbucks coffee, but there was noone available to brew more after the first batch was made. No other drink options like juice or water.

They try, but never again

I was at Sonesta for 6 nights for work in the city. We had two rooms, the first two nights were uneventful, comfortable. The third night my daughter (in the other room) comes to my room angry and grossed out because she found a bug in her room. I thought maybe a lady bug or ant, but after seeing it, it was a coch roach. Not one, but two climbing on the wall. We went down to the front desk, showed the lady the picture and she insisted it was a box elder bug. I don’t know a lot about bugs, but I do know a roach when I see one. Front desk lady moved my daughter to another room where she stayed for 3 hours and checked out and came to my room. Asked the front desk and manager what or if there is anything they can do for my daughter (refund some of her night, anything) and I never did hear back. When I was checking out there was a lady and her kids that were checking in and they were having all sorts of problems with their computers charging her card multiple times. Other issues, the lock on the door to my room kept sticking open. Had to aggressively press the handle three or four times before I could shut the door. Was offered a different room, but I had just put all my stuff away for the week. So I dealt with it. Housekeeping manager came up and said it’s a door problem. Nothing he could do about it. Shower had barely any water pressure. Bathroom had absolutely no ventilation so every smell from anything lingered for hours. TVs are old so some channels work, not all.

I lost my wallet last week and I didn't have the required photo ID when I wanted to check in. The person at the front desk was VERY helpful in helping me work around this and get checked in without any penalties and only a 15 minute delay. I really appreciate his help.
