Beautiful property, clean rooms and decent food for a resort. Only issue is if you booked through Expedia, you do not have access to the airport shuttle to the hotel, which is over an hour and 30 minutes away. Taxi from the airport to this hotel it’s over $100 one way so be mindful of shuttle options before you book.

My room was full of mold, in the AC unit and all the furniture. We got very sick during our stay there. I reached out to the front desk, but no one responded immediately, when I notified the housekeeper, she stated to me that they can put an air freshener in the AC vent and yet no one ever came back to assist us with that option. On our return home my roommates and I had to go to the emergency room. I'm seeking some type of compensation for my stay.

I experienced significant dissatisfaction with the customer service during my stay. Despite reserving a room with a garden view, my assigned room overlooked the building's roof. Upon raising this concern, I was informed that someone would contact me the following morning, a call that never materialized. Subsequent complaints to guest services were met with the instruction to check out by 12 PM and then wait until after 3 PM to check back in. This proposed solution was impractical given my pre-arranged daily schedule, which did not allow for such a disruption, especially considering I should have been provided with the correct room from the outset. Furthermore, a ceiling leak was present in my room from day one, which I reported for three consecutive days without resolution. The issue was only addressed on the night before my departure, at which point I declined the repair as it was no longer relevant. In the buffet area, I observed cockroaches on the tables, which was unsanitary. The room's decor was outdated, and the brown towels provided were abrasive. The food was the same each nigth majority of it was tasteless. I would come back to this Resort

The food delicious, but they never answered the phone for refill the minibar, get a blanket, when you ask for a alcoholic beverage, the servers tell you you have to go to the bar, which is stupid, whenever finally when to refill my mini bar gave us 2 beers, the worse service after paying so much not worth my money or time

Some of the staff members are rude. I wanted to speak with a manager, the front desk attendant informed her a patron wanted to speak to her, she looked and the told the attendant to let me know she has a meeting to attend. To my surprise, she stood at the front desk for a while and refused to speak with me. Most of the staff needs customer training including supervisor. The food is good, however, they need more Jamaican dishes, not American dishes. People go to the island to experience the culture and get Spanish culture.

Our stay at RIU in Ocho Rios was absolutely amazing. From the dining options to the accommodations 10 out 10. Every member of staff was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful! We had a the most enjoyable time with Rojer, Errol, Michael, and Lew Wayne at the infinity ocean front swim up bar! These gentleman were the best!! We will be back!

The food was wonderful overall The cleanliness of the rooms was poor, our room was roach infested. This was reported to management and after constantly fighting with front desk staff we were given another room the second night.

I had a good time at the property but I had issues with my room at first and there was a big drop-off with the food choices within three months when I was last there. Disappointed!
