About the history of this very special house
This house was built by our parents in 1976. It was the first dwelling in this urbanisation. At that time, on this beach there was only the Hotel Playa Esperanza. For quite some time, our house was the only private residence next to this beach, until gradually more houses were built.
In those years it was not necessary to give a name to the street. This changed when the urbanisation began to grow and we were asked what it should be called. Our mother chose the name Franziskus Street, in honour of our long-time friend, Franzisko, who cared with great dedication for the house and garden during our absences. This recognition was granted to us because we were one of the families that drove the development of the urbanisation.
The name Villa Esperanza also has a special origin. Our parents bought the land from José de Luna, owner of the Hotel Playa Esperanza, whose wife was named Esperanza. In her honour, our mother decided to name the house Villa Esperanza, which it retains to this day.
In 1998 the garage, the yellow bedroom and the rear bathroom were enlarged. In 2022 a comprehensive renovation of the property was carried out, during which the original Ibizan style of the house was deliberately preserved.
We hope you enjoy your stay in our home as much as we have done over many years.
