Good location, not so good room.

Our stay at the Yachtsman wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. The proximity to the beach is definitely worth putting up with the older feel but if it’s going to rain the whole time you may want to find something to do besides sit in the room. Staff was friendly enough, we didn’t use the housekeeping so no info on that. Pool and hot tub seemed like they were well maintained.

Value for money. Amazing beach front view. Steps away from beach. To help others plan better, I would like to mention that they don’t provide beach umbrella, beach chairs or beach toys. Swimming pool is small.

DON'T BOOK THIS IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR VACATION. THE BATHROOM CEILING WAS LEAKING, IT WAS DIRTY, NOT AS PICTURED, EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM WAS SMELLY, SUPER OUTDATED, THEY DON'T GIVE YOU TOWELS FOR THE POOL, AND WONT AUTOMATIC RETURN YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT UNLESS YOU CALL. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU. ALSO HAVE PICS QND VIDEOS OF THE LEAK. WILL BE REQUESTING A REFUND WISH ME LUCK ONLY GOOD THING IS THE PROXIMITY TO THE SKY WHEEL

Everything was OK, except for the AC it kept leaking all the time on the rug and the smell was very disgusting. The maintenance people did what they could but the problem was not solved. We ended up putting a trash can under it to keep the water from spreading all over the room.

Needs of some TLC

The Yachtsman was okay at best. Understand that it is a beach resort and a lot of guests. However, during the down time in the winter the room could use a GOOD cleaning and paint job. We experienced our fire alarm battery needed changing, no big deal. The lighting was not adequate enough and one bedside light did not work at all. The microwave started to spark and shot out flames when we tried to warm something. Understand that if people don't use these things or do not report the problems the management cannot fix/correct the problems. The office management were very friendly and did document the problems when I reported them. But the microwave could have caused a fire if it had been left unattended while it was running.

Location is the best right on the pier of the beach, view is everything. All rooms are ocean front but this hotel needs serious renovations and updates. It’s like going back in time to 1969 the rooms are ridiculously old.

The south tower is antiquated, by far. In addition to this, it is very difficult to obtain extra towels or washcloths. The cleanliness of the facility is not where it needs to be.

The AC did not work. The room had cracks in the walls and ceilings. Along with a giant patch in the drywall with a hole the size of a quarter in the middle of the patch.

It was more or lees quiet, the view from the balcony was perfect and overall just nice for the price of the stay, I had no complications in or out and there was so many local things to do nearby, like the board walk, the amusement rides and a ton of other things, great place for a first time stay, would come again.

Water leales the e tire time i was at the facility from the unit in the kitchen, i ended up falling. The electricity went out 2 times in my room due to the jets being turned on in the bath tub.
