Not a hotel...
I spent hours walking around Nanjing looking for this property with no clear way to contact them. As you may know, Google does not work in China, and Expedia messenger and maps are powered by google. The Expedia map that I had printed puts its location across town from where it may be located. No taxi drivers had ever heard of it. When I finally found the correct block, I checked at three other hotels, and no one was familiar with it. Eventually I stumbled into a building whose lobby matched the expedia pic in my saved emails. The security guards there know nothing about it, and none of the businesses in the lobby ever heard of it. After 2 hours I gave up and checked in at the Sofitel down the street. Once I had wifi I was able to contact the "hotel", and they told me I was supposed to "call them, and they would come down to the lobby to collect me, take me to one apartment and pay them cash, and then they would take me to another apartment where I would sleep." I don't know about you, but this sounds like the sequel to the movie Hostel. This type of business might work well on airbnb where you have constant contact with your host, but it does not work on Expedia. Expedia, you need to do a better job, this is the last time I will use this website...
