The Cove at Atlantis offers 600 accommodations with DVD players and safes. Rooms open to balconies. Accommodations offer separate sitting areas. Beds feature premium bedding. As a single female traveler, I like the safety of the facility. The room was beautiful and large and very nicely appointed. I loved the separate tub. And the view was gorgeous. The bed was super comfy. As for amenities, I liked the adult only pool area and the availability of staff/concierge to answer questions anywhere on the property. The complimentary shuttle was fantastic. Here’s what I did not like and why I won’t be back. The food was horrible. Not just bad, really bad. And the cost of food is insane. I ordered room service twice - breakfast and dinner. Both times, food that should have been hot and fresh was cold and soggy, and food that should have been cold was room temp. For example, French fries were soggy and luke warm. An “artisan” cheese plate with fruit came with a sad looking bunch of warm grapes (no other fruit) and 3-4 haphazardly strewn chunks of cheese and stale crostini. Very poor presentation and selection/variety. Eggs were rubbery and cold and sausage and bacon was inedible-rubbery and gristly throughout. Thank goodness for the Starbucks at the Coral. Sad that the best meal I had was at Starbucks. As for the restaurants on site, I ate at Fish by Jose Andre’s, Chopstix, and Plato’s. I am not exaggerating when I say all the food was bad. Take my advice and go into town for the best food! Lastly, resort is noisy and they play loud music at the pool which wasn’t relaxing. The beach is the best part-gorgeous and private, but crowded and hard to find chairs.

Disneyland without the rides. No place for adults even in the casino or bars. If it's a family vacation you're looking for, this would be good. If it's an adult getaway you want...look somewhere else. Great service, mediocre food for the prices.

Second visit in ten years. Nothing has changed in that period of time. The rooms and communal areas very dated and worn out. This property needs a come out overhaul and reinvestment. The Cove is definitely not a five star. No room service or mini bar. The water is still cold, the bathrooms still smell. Breakfast buffet has been replaced with very poor limited offering which doubles as a Thai restaurant at night. The Thai food was absolutely awful. Cold overcooked and tasteless. No peanuts on the pad Thai? Come on! Having checked out the newer Hyatt and Rosewood that’s where we will head next time.
At least the view is as good as ever! Shame about the property.

Our first disappointment was that even after calling Atlantis 3 times on the phone to confirm that our rooms were connecting, they didn't honor this upon arrival. They told us it wasn't possible. Then why did their employees confirm it? They did nothing to address this mistake in any way, so our kids were down the hall (not ideal!) They promised a follow up phone call the next day, but never followed up. It took an hour to get our bags delivered to our room. I had to roam around and hunt them down because no one knew where they were. We requested late check out. They promised they would call us to the day before. They never called. This is not 5 star service and I am surprised they have this designation after staying here. It isn't worth the $$$. There is a lot of wear and tear on this hotel. If you are used to traveling to 5 star hotels, this one will be a disappointment. Many of the 5 star amenities aren't even technically at the Cove, they are at the other parts of Atlantis. Some other cons...rickety ironing board with a huge brown stain, no mini bar/snacks in the room, service at restaurant for breakfast is slow, allow at least 30 minutes in the evening on the shuttles to get to dinner if traveling to another part of Atlantis, no Smart TV's, finicky toilet, some electrical and wifi issues, no necessities store at the Cove. Pros: nice employees (except for upper mgmt in our case), no issue finding chairs at beach or pool, beautiful beach, not too crowded. Food was ok
