Hotel Acta Madfor
"All the staff ([including the cleaning staff) were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable. Very near the "historic" centre of Madrid (If you don't mind going uphill but public transport available (bus and metro). Good, local restaurants. Spectacular views of the Rio Manzanares which is easily accessible from the hotel. And if you're staying on a Saturday and Sunday evening, take a 5 minute stroll (exit hotel and turn right and keep walking until you hear the music)) to the manzanares and watch hundreds of Latin Americans (and a few locals and stray tourists i daresay) salsa dancing. Apparently it has become a tradition."
