It was a great place to stay. It was walking distance from Bourbon Street, many shops, bars, and restaurants. It was in a quiet area. The rooms could use some attention. The floor in our room needed some fixing. But overall great place!

I recieved an additional charge on my credit card that I was not aware of. I was suposed to pay 43.68 at the property, but I was charged an extra 48.64 for a total of 92.32. they say it's a credit card processing fee that was not part of my receipt from Expieda. the only thing I was told to pay at the hotel 43.68 destination fee and other fees.

Nice place

Very nice small hotel right on Royal St. staff is fantastic, especially Abby at the front desk. My only issue is don’t stay in room 101 it’s a 2 queen and is the only room ground level on Royal street and connected to the lobby. It is loud from 10am with street performers until forever and you can hear everyone come in the building and conversations of people walking past. It’s a famous building so tours stop outside your room all the time and you can hear everything.

Disgusting

We stayed here super bowl weekend so knew the prices were inflated. We spent a tremendous amount of money to stay here. The pictures on the web site looked great. The hallway to our room was very dirty. The room itself was disgusting. The bed sheets were brown. We asked for new sheets and those weren't much better. The vents in the room had black mold and the other one was caked with dirt and dust. I had white sox that I wore in the room and the bottoms became black from walking on the floors. The bathroom vanity was so close to the sink yo were almost hitting your knees and the vent in that room was falling off. I have never in my life stayed in such a dirty, disgusting room. The only redeeming factor of the hotel was its' location.

Paint peeling in bathroom and bedroom on ceiling and doorway. Vent in the bathroom and bedroom on the ceiling were dirty and rusted. Water and sink had no pressure had to wash hands in the bathtub. When checking out exiting the room and going down to the lobby. A gentleman was sitting on the steps that was homeless. Safety is a major issue.

I wanted my husband to have a real New Orleans experience, and they did not disappoint. I did have to work on an end table because there are no desks, so I could have stood a little more facility, but we did get one of the smaller rooms! the staff was friendly, there was free coffee, and it was conveniently located to everything we needed!

Worst Hotel Stay-thank goodness it was only 2 days

If it is comfort, modern convenience, or cleanliness-this hotel(motel) is NOT the one. The window lever in the bathroom was hanging and about to fall off, drywall/plaster cracked and painted in ver with a different color, baseboard in bathroom falling off, dust for 50 years built up on the vent over the bed, mattress was sunken in on one side, gap around the entire door leading to the outside, chain on door was broken, and we could hear every word that was spoken and every footstep outside of our room.

This place really sucked. It's not worth the price. I also wish I didn't book through Expedia - they were no help at all. My brother and I were put in room 101. It's right in the lobby and right on the street. It's extremely loud, which wouldn't have been so bad, except that there was no hot water. They said would get it fixed and they didn't. We couldn't have a shower for the duration of our stay.

Wonderful Hotel Highly Recommend

Had a wonderful time at Andrew Jackson Hotel. The staff was very helpful about where to go and not go. The hotels location was perfect close to coffee shop, great little diner and a really cool bar, that's the oldest in the USA. A block from Bourbon St.

We love New Orleans and getting to stay in a hotel central to many places and walkable to even more, plus it had a courtyard, was all we needed. The rooms are small and old but if you’re like us, it’s just a place to sleep for the night after you’ve been out and about all day so it never bothers us.
