The room was spotless. The bathroom vanity was cracked but not a problem. Only 2 towels and no wash cloth, the latter is typical in Europe. However, I’m a large person and larger or multiple bath towels would have been nice. Admittedly I didn’t ask. Only one night stay. Convenient and quiet with harbor view.

First time in Iceland, so wanted to experience Reykjavík. Staff were very helpful-holding luggage for me, giving directions, calling toyr operators to advocate for a closer pick up. Very pleasant. Breakfast was very good, room nice, comfy for a single woman. Close to everything around Reykjavík. Highly recommend.

Older property. Weird restaurant hours. It said happy hour 4-6pm, but restaurant wasn’t open even at 5pm. Only a shared balcony with other units, and that balcony door is the only access point to outside air. It gets hot in the afternoon sun. They did provide a fan. Overall, an ok hotel, just needs a new coat if paint and consistence restaurant hours.

The free regular coffee provided in the morning was terrible. Other places we stayed in Iceland provided espresso and other drinks free of charge, but Skuggi charged extra for these. The room overlooked the street and was noisy. This was a particular problem because there was no way to control the very hot temperature in the room other than using the venting window. A fan was provided, but after depositing luggage, there was limited room for the fan. The counter under the bathroom sink was plywood and showed a lot of water damage. The location and parking were great and with the exception of the coffee, the rest of the breakfast buffet was pretty good. Good wifi. The staff were helpful when we needed computer and printer access.

Loved the secure underground parking, close to everything a visitor would want in downtown Reykjavik. The breakfast was great, staff was helpful and friendly, room was incredibly clean and in excellent condition.

Everything was great about this hotel. It was a 15-minute walk from the BSI Bus Terminal that the Flybus from KEF terminates into. Room had everything I needed in a small but not cramped space. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Pickup spot for the tour buses was at the nearest corner. It was all great!

Hotel staff was kind and helpful and centrally located. Room was clean, but showed signs of heavier wear and tear (although this can be expected for a hotel located in the city center). Would certainly return again!

The Skuggi was in a perfect location in the city for access to pretty much everything necessary. Restaurants and Shopping was just around the corner. Parking was great after we were told that there was underground parking specifically for the hotel. Hotel was nicely designed interiorly and made us feel a bit of comfort far away from home. Our room was comfortable and roomy. Bed was was very comfy and blackout window treatments were perfect.
