Whoops we overcharged you

The hotel itself was nice and the staff was friendly, a few weeks after my trip I noticed a charge for $106 on my credit card, but shouldn’t have been there from the Crowne Plaza. Prepaid reservation through Hotels.com and they still tried to charge me the room rate for one of the nights that I stayed there on my credit card. When I called the hotel, they offered no explanation or reason why this could’ve happened, but they did refund the money. I’ve had this happen to me at least 10 times at different hotels after pre-paying reservations through Hotels.com I’m starting to think that it is a standard business practice for these hotels to hope you will not notice that they charged you extra and just steal your money.

I’ve been asked to review this hotel, but I never stayed there. My booking was canceled because the snowstorm in New Orleans meant my flights were canceled and I’m currently trying to get my money back. Yet the hotel continues to ask me if I enjoyed my stay and how much they’d enjoyed having me as a guest. I guess that means the Crowne Plaza New Orleans doesn’t actually pay much attention to its guests and does everything on remote, not even knowing or caring if you’ve been there.
