Classic New Orleans Victorian Charmer

Take an authentic step back in time and spend a few nights in our classic 1870s New Orleans Victorian-era home featuring 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and original cypress fireplace mantels. Lovingly updated with the latest modern amenities, the home has central air and heat, a full kitchen with stainless appliances, a custom bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower, and a laundry room. We think it’s the perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort.

Our Victorian-era “shotgun-style” double allows you all the privacy of your own place because the home is split down the middle with you on one side and us living on the other. The front two rooms are bathed in natural light from the large windows, where the ceilings are adorned with giant decorative medallions, and relax with our 56-inch TV or surf the internet with our high-speed Wi-Fi.
Past the dining room, where a signed print by renowned Louisiana artist George Rodrigue hangs, is a full kitchen where you can enjoy a cup of rich New Orleans coffee in the warmth of the morning sunshine beaming through the large window that overlooks the seating area. The kitchen has basic cookware, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, a toaster, and a coffee maker. Coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners are provided.
The first bedroom past the kitchen has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, closet, dresser, and full-length mirror.
The bathroom in the hallway connects the bedrooms and boasts a custom tile shower with a rainfall shower, handheld shower spray, and a marble bench seat. We supply fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
The second bedroom has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, clothes rack, and a lovely view of the neighboring garden. The back door leads to the small brick patio.
A fully stocked laundry room with a washer and dryer is available in the back of the home.
We want you to relax and enjoy your stay, so we do all the cleaning so no chores are required of our guests upon checkout.
Our customers tell us they can't get enough of the helpful staff at this vacation home. During your stay, you're just a quick walk from National World War II Museum. Features include laundry facilities. Enjoy your stay with amenities like free WiFi and a kitchen in the vacation home.

Couldn’t Ask For More!

First off the property was just as pictured, beautiful. The location was great for us, easy access to the Streetcar which took us down to the French Quarter several times. The weather was so beautiful we actually ended up walking down there a couple of times, about 1.5 miles. The French Coffee Truck just a few doors down was a nice treat every morning. Several restaurant options just a few feet away, so staying in definitely would not be a problem! If we make it back to NOLA, I hope to stay here again!

best possible NOLA home base

This house is PERFECT. I had a conference at the convention center (quick 10 min walk) and otherwise had easy access to all of the neighborhoods I wanted to visit, the street care, 2 museums, the quarter, all of magazine street. the house is SO charming, kitchen really well stocked. Cant say enough. I'd be delighted to come back!

Perfect home & location for New Orleans visit

Our family was in town for our daughters' volleyball tournament at the convention center. This was a great location for walking to and from the tournaments, as well as for popular sites around NOLA! The owners were very helpful with advice, answering questions, and accommodating our need to store luggage prior to arrival time and after departure time to better fit our flight schedule. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Garden District House

A wonderful shotgun style home right in the Garden District. Walking distance to the French Quarter, Canal Street, the WWII museum, and Saint Charles Ave and its streetcar line. The house has everything you may need. I will definitely try to book it again the next time I’m in town.

Nice updated older place

We stayed in January with unseasonably cold weather. As to be expected with a older place, it was drafty with hot and cold spots, but available space heater helped. Should have guessed but it is a "shotgun" house meaning you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, which was a bit inconvenient. Great kitchen and the single bathroom has an updated walk-in shower, but it is very small. Only street parking, which was difficult to find near the house at times (occasionally had to park up to 2 blocks away).

Great space, great location, great host

I have nothing bad to say about this property. It's a fantastic and walkable location close to delightful restaurants, coffee shops, etc. and to transit that will get you anywhere you need to go. The home was impeccably clean, well stocked, and comfortable. It's a great place. I want to give a particular note of appreciation for the host, who was incredibly responsive and kind. There are a lot of good VRBO hosts, but I wish they were all as great as Robert was for us. We would (and probably will) stay here again next time we're in the city.

Mother/daughter weekend.

This is a beautifully restored shotgun house. In the front room, you can hear the sounds of New Orleans, but the bedrooms near the back are so quiet and peaceful. Easy walking distance to WWII Museum, Magazine Street shopping, and Garden District mansions. We love to walk, so we walked to the French Quarter/River as well. It was perfect for us!

Best Holiday Rental

This is a wonderful historic property with great details in a great location. I have never stayed at a holiday rental that was as well-equipped as this one. The kitchen had everything you needed, there was a full linen closet, the bathroom came stocked with all sorts of items that you might have forgotten for your trip. Robert is on-site, friendly, and hospitable. We had a great time.

Picturesque In New Orleans

Beautiful historic home!!! Lovely surroundings make this home even more beautiful. The owners were super nice when we met them. They had everything you could need during your stay right down to bandaids. The towels were fluffy and oversized, which we LOVED. Easy walk to the St. Charles streetcar that can take you anywhere in the city. Also the RTA bus stop right across the street. Restaurants and a coffee shop close by. If you want a comfy/homely feeling stay in New Orleans this is the place!!
